Check engine light comes on and off sporadic.
P0400 indicates an EGR Flow Malfunction. The ECU has detected that the Exhaust Gas Recirculation system is not flowing the expected amount of exhaust gas back into the intake. On the Z32, this is frequently caused by carbon clogging the EGR tubes (especially the one running under the plenum), a failed BPT valve, or a stuck EGR valve itself. It can also be a vacuum leak in the lines controlling the EGR. P0136 refers to the Oxygen Sensor Circuit Malfunction for Bank 1 Sensor 2. Bank 1 is the right side of the engine (passenger side on US LHD models, driver side on RHD), and Sensor 2 is the rear sensor located after the catalytic converter. This code usually means the sensor itself has failed, the wiring to it is damaged (burned on exhaust is common), or the connector is corroded. Since it is the rear sensor, it monitors catalyst efficiency rather than air-fuel ratio, so it likely won't affect drivability as much as a front sensor would. P1150 and P1155 are manufacturer-specific codes for the 1996 Twin Turbo. These refer to the Wastegate Valve Control Solenoid Valves. Since you have a Twin Turbo, you have solenoids that manage the wastegate actuators to control boost pressure. P1150 typically points to the wastegate solenoid valve circuit, and P1155 is often listed for the same system (possibly distinguishing between the two solenoids or a specific electrical fault within them). Seeing both simultaneously suggests a potential electrical issue common to both solenoids, such as a shared power supply fuse, a ground issue, or a disconnected harness in the engine bay near the boost control solenoids.

Leaving 300zx Undriven
If it's in secure parking, I would disconnect the battery.

Rattle from transmission area when on low RPM
No longer have a Zed, both had standard flywheels as far as I knew mate.

Rattle from transmission area when on low RPM
Had this on both my Zeds, and no garage could ever find an issue, bizarre as I've spoken to other owners with the same thing!

Hi from Ayr in Ayrshire
Looks very nice! Not sure if it's just the pic but one thing is the nose panel and N/S headlight alignment looks a bit off at the bonnet a wee bit?

Heart goes out to you mate!- Just acquired two 300zx TTs
Nice to see another Scottish person here! I'm Zedlesss just now, but just over in Airdrie.- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
Brilliant mate, delighted for you that it is finally back and in good order. Time to drive and enjoy before the winter.- Smoking z32! Z32 Newbie needing help.
If it's the turbo, check the boost hoses and see if there is any oil in there, depending on a leak you will have oil in the hoses.- So I’m back …
Happy hunting mate, there is some projects out there, I would try and look for the one with the least rust ?- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
That is going to be dangerous mate! Back end liked to step out with near 400, so this will be vicious haha! Got any videos of the dyno run?- Hi! New Z32 TT Owner!
Welcome mate and hope you love the car! Full reg number and a few pics may help people with recognising it for you.- Mercedes AMG One
The T.50 is another in the mix, some crazy cars being produced just now, shame us mere mortals will most likely never drive them!- Mercedes AMG One
Cheers bud.- Mercedes AMG One
Missed a G in the title and can't edit it haha!- Mercedes AMG One
Hi lads, Does anyone else like the AMG One? From the outside it seems to sound quite muted, but inside it sounds mega I reckon! Mercedes AMG One In Car Sound- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
My baby, almost have tears in me eyes!- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
No worries bud, oil pump is something we don't ever really think about on cars, water/coolant pumps usually get changed, but you tend to forget about the oil pump with it being away in the depths of the engine. Safe to say it will be good for many a year once you have finished it ?- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
All looking fantastic mate! You may have mentioned already, but what was the main issue that had caused the engine trouble, was there anything specific, or just wear and tear over the years?- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
Looking much more like how I remember it!- 300ZX TT - A18GCK
I kind of like the brighter blue, even though TK3 blue is darker on mot cars I've seen. Stonechip is something badly missed on modern cars, so much rust and damage is caused lower down on cars due to no stone chip and no mud / splash guards, used to be common place! - 300ZX TT - A18GCK
