Suppose yeah just that rumour of the protest has been doing the rounds the past few days i know the last local protest was around 200modified cars just drove around the town centre and kept driving up the main street. Ah well gotta wait and see

Eh this one indeed is actually going to be law soon enough in the Rep of Ireland! But since i not only like the zeds and am into the "souped up Nova's and Starlets" i also happen to know that closer to the time it will be arranged that a awful lot of the modified car scene are going to protest in the middle of Dublin city by just driving in, stopping in the centre and just revving the modified exhausts for an hour or two just to cause chaos!! Yes the mini will be in there as the exhaust on it is quite loud!

A friends dad has one and since they are loaded my mate not only has his own car but is insured on his dads 07 Chyrsler 300 and 06 Range Rover and i have to say the first time i got into one i was disappointed aswell but its good craic cruising up the road wit four young lads in it cause the looks we get are unreal but yes his dad is disappointed aswell and is looking to get rid of it!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone......but unfortunately the car was taken away on a tow truck yesterday(cut out the other night but told it is just the fuel pump). Well trish roll on the next irish zed meet then we shall see which is better lol Pete you know your always welcome and if you come over between October and July i will be in Shannon due to the job!

I havent been on lately so i just decided to update on what has been happening with myself! I got the job in the airport doing Aircraft Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship! Got my exam results being 1 A, 1 B, 4 C, 1 D!!!! Turned 17 and guess what my parents bought me....... I am the proud owner of a 1993 Mini Cooper! Its a jap import with only 67000Km's on the clock and that i can see there is only one spot of rust around the size of a one pence coin next to the Drivers Wing mirror!

A few of the members here will remember back in June i posted about having an interview for an aircraft apprenticeship well since then i have also done a dexterity test for the company and just heard there on friday i have a medical which is the last step before getting the job itself!

His actually has a mixture on it been 99spec front, wings west rear and not sure what skirts!

Luckily over here now i have passed my theory i can get my provisional, go out n hop in a car and go driving not a prob with no experienced river with me!! Plus there are 3 provisionals all last 3 years i think!

Fingers and toes crossed for the future!

Had my theory test today for my provisional licence and got a very respectable 38out of 40 with 35 being a pass! So now once August 26th comes i shall hopefully start lessons! Can all donations to the "buy-the-youngster-a-zed" campaign come in the form of Paypal, cheque and most major credit cards are excepted.............

I know it is a long shot but saw a lovely 92 silver zed today.....6 pot rear lights! Was a beauty in the passenger seat and the car wasnt half bad aswell. Came from the airport direction and turned into airside retail park so my guess is was on its way to the windsor garage in there!

Just came home this morning...drove from dublin to belfast, and stranraer to newcastle on 30th June and back today and between those times i never saw one zed on the road...so disappointed that i didnt see anything!

Would possibly be interested definite answer closer to the time....is it 50euro in if your not dragging?? Bit more info please trish...tried to ring you back but no answer so speak to you soon!
