  1. This is why the advice is required - my knowledge about turbos is incredibly limited! Basically, I'd like something a little better than the standard snails. Even if that means having a pair of standards rebuilt and upgraded internally. I don't want huge power at my disposal and it's highly unlikely my Zed will ever see a track... just something that'll be a nice upgrade over stock.
  2. In the future (although I'm not sure when in the future), I'll be looking to upgrade my turbos. Primarily because I think the seals are on the way out on one of them, but also because a little extra grunt would be nice. I don't want anything overly lairy and I'm not going chasing big power or anything like that. I also think I'd like to keep the 4-bolt pattern and I'm aware this somewhat limits my choice. So what sort of recommendations have people got for something a little tastier than the stock snails, and what sort of price are we talking please? Go! :)
  3. Ah, but yours is a Slicktop, birthday boy... that's a separate choice in the poll... ;)
  4. Factory manual SWB Twin Turbo (targa roof) :) And yes, I adore Martin's roof scoop... it gives me unclean thoughts...
  5. *deletes account!*
  6. Pass my coat, willya...?!
  7. I have an illuminated foglight switch for sale that I bought last year but have never used. It is Chinese in origin and the illumination for both the legend and the telltale is green - whether this can easily be changed or not, I don't know... Never used and complete with the matching wiring harness (as pictured). I bought it because I wanted the legend to be illuminated but ended up using a different switch due to the light-up colour and needing one fitted for my MOT! Looking for £15 posted to your door. :thumbup1:
  8. I have a pair of illuminated rear side markers for sale that have a smoked finish to them. Identical to the ones I have fitted to my own Zed. :) These are in good condition with no visible deterioration to the silvering inside them, and they have the cutout on the back to use a 3-tab bulb fixing. I'd like £12.50 posted to your door. :thumbup1:
  9. Off the top of my head: (Adl) Phoenix Lexx Slicktop Phutumsch Pebkau Taff (?) Genuinely can't think of anymore Slickie owners on here...!
  10. Happy birthday, Andy mate!
  11. In all likelihood, I'll probably end up keeping the exterior look as it currently is. I'm just throwing ideas around at the moment for that day when I suddenly and unexpectedly stumble across a suitcase filled with money...!
  12. 10.5" and ET6?? I think the rear tyres are going to need to have some stretch on them...!
  13. Erm... haven't got beyond the "I'll replace my turbos at some point" stage...!
  14. Seems like a fairly common opinion so far...! I'm only throwing ideas around at the moment anyway - there are things like a new exhaust and new turbos to sort out before I start changing any external parts. Thanks for the responses, gang - much appreciated
  15. Opinions required please, team :) I'm debating losing my boot spoiler and having the shaved look... I know that Shorties can pull it off far better than the estate version can, but I'm just looking to hear some "for or against" opinions. Cheers :thumbup1:
  16. This! I've lost out on a couple of things I was after in the past because, instead of actually sending a PM first, I replied to the thread saying "PM sent" instead! It happens, but it's not the end of the world. Stick around, man...
  17. Happy birthday, old bean! :thumbup1:
  18. I read somewhere recently that English is no longer the primary language spoken in London. That's quite a sad statistic, I feel :(
  19. Exactly the same as the ones that are currently fitted, just the replacements are in slightly better condition :)
  20. Thanks Russ :thumbup1: I'm very happy with how she's starting to look now. I still need to get the replacement rear spats painted and fitted though. But yeah, I think she's looking well these days
  21. Hamza fled Jordan because he knew he was in a world of trouble there because of his actions. He came here but, instead of keeping his head down and respecting the UK, he continued to do exactly what he did in Jordan. I can only assume that that was because he knew or at least suspected that we would have difficulty sending him back to where he came from. Why should we as a nation have to put up with the scum of the world? The man came from Jordan, screwed his (and others') lives up there, then fled here when Jordanian law came a'knocking. He belonged in Jordan due to his birthright and also due to the fact that he served precisely no purpose whatsoever in the UK. He didn't work, he didn't contribute anything except bile and hatred and he played the system like a fiddle. Yes, the system allowed him to play it but, without the intervention of the EU Courts, he would have been gone far sooner than he was. And that's my point: how can a court in a foreign country dictate to us? It beggars the imagination!
  22. I simply can't understand how we (as a country) can have our courts' and government's decisions overridden by anyone from outside this country...! Surely we elect our officials so that they can govern us and this country themselves? In the process doing what they believe in best in the peoples' and the country's interests? Yes...? If that's the case, then why are the government's hands completely tied when it comes to things like deporting idiots like Abu Hamza?! The man hates the West and has been incredibly vocal about that, so why would he have wanted to remain living here? Oh yeah, the cushy lifestyle on offer and the fact that it's a better life than he had in Jordan! Double standards much? So when Theresa May decides to send him packing based on his hatred of the West in general and the UK in particular, and on his radical propaganda, believing that that decision is in the best interests of the UK and its' citizens, the EU Court of Human Rights chime in and prevent it! And even though we've finally shipped the scumbag out, we're still supporting his rather sizeable family here!! So what is the point in having our elected officials if some other EU country can completely override their decisions? If we leave the EU, we are no longer subservient to them and we are then able to actually make and enforce our own decisions (as it were). That works for me!!
  23. I have a pair of alloy OEM TT front brake calipers available. They will come with pads (still with plenty of meat on them), clips, pins, etc... as well as a set of almost-new seals. They won't, however, come with any bleed nipples. Perfect for a refurb! £60 including delivery :)
