i like the white, there rae other colours and flavours i like on this forum.

the other way to key the area is to use a pad of scotch brite similar to a scouring pad, and as mark says use panel wipe not thinners or turps and move it in 1 direction.

the seam sealer will give it that factory finish once you paint over it, do it right and it wont trap the water, you can get brushable sealer. if you fill it, it will be alot of work in the corners etc when you try to smooth down before prep and paint. its up to you m8.

your doing OK m8 just as long as you weld it all in 1 strip as the metal will warp, as you have the little welds is ok then join the dots from both sides middle out to the next set of welds, that way the heat is distributed, then grind it back and use your paintable seam seal in but the attempt is good.
