i agree with all the stuff minestwinturbo says; my dad has been in the trade, his dad etc etc and mercs and beemers are what he specialises in. qualitywise mercs have gone downhill, BUT the last 'good' series of merc was the W124, and if you want a special merc, get the rare coupe (CE) W124 E36 AMG. wasnt the ferrari of the time the 348TB/TS? if i remember correctly, 0-60 times between that and the zed and power is similar. http://www.dropbears.com/m/models/ferrari/348tb.htm looking at figures and taking into consideration what royal said above, the zed can really hold its own against the ferrari of its time.

the nissan FM (front midship) platform is used in a few cars, the 350z, infinity g35, the SUV infinity fx35, murano and prob some others. my work colleague in the states has an infinity fx35 suv and it has the same power output as a 350z, 280-300bhp unlike the 240bhp murano. just because the platform is used elsewhere means that its exactly the same on all of them, and you cannot deny that the 350z is one of the finest handling cars of the moment and is considered as such by all the motoring press apart from JC. For me, I hold Tiff Needell's opinion highly, and he absolutely loves the 350z. However, he also did a 300zx promo video back in the day ;)

i drove a 350z before i bought my 300zx. i originally wanted a 350z, i have driven audi tts, slks, honda s2000, bmw m roadster and posche boxster. the 350z and boxster were my favorites followed by the s2000 and m roadster. i was all ready to buy a 350z, but for me i have always loved the 300zx since childhood even having toys and all, then i found my car, a 1992 with 36k, always garaged fnsh. i saw it, drove i and bought it the same day without having a 2nd thought of any of the other cars. sure the 350z is an excellent handling car but once i install my nismo bushes, s-tune shocks and springs the handling should be pretty close too.

last year when i sold my hyundai coupe, i needed a run around before i got the zed, i bought a proton l reg 1.3i and the owner just wanted rid of it for 50 quid. theyre not bad cars ive ragged it sooo hard but it doesnt die.

hi guys are there any 'how to's around showing how to replace a rear quarter glass? as per my last posts around generally, my rear driver quarter glass was smashed last night. is it something that I can do or is it recomended that i leave it to a pro? darren

ghetto!? no! deptford is a bit of a 'hole but i used to go uni there and i am familiar with the place. besides the appartment complex i was in was a proper plush luxury one, with porsche 996/911 turbos and i spotted an ABT Audi TT and some other fast expensive euro cars. they picked on the oldest cheapest car in the complex. i drove thru wilsden luckily i dont live there, i live in safe'ish harrow!

hi guys 2 weeks ago i parked my car in a deptford appartment complex and some fool keyed the drivers side of the car, i was sooo gutted. that carpark had a porsche 911 and an audi tt among others and only mine was touched. *******s. then last night while driving through wilsden and stopped at a traffic light, some guy in an astra threw a beer bottle at my car smashing the rear quarter glass and denting the door a bit, the ******* sped away and went through the red light, there were 4 big guys in the car i just left them, i didnt give chase although i should have got his numberplate. i'm well pissed off i was all ready to buy nismo s-tune suspension too this month.

I have the exact problem, one subframe bush is leaking. I wiped the silicond away and the mot guy didn't notice. otherwise its an mot failure. I have got a full set of Nismo bushes for the rear which I am planning to fit soon... can't wait!

agreed royal, too much looking at the millisecond differences on stock straight line measurements... the overall experience of a zed is why it was japans first supercar.

exactly the same as richard for me, i have a 1992 auto uk tt with zorst and intake.

impressive! if the engine was a bit further behind the front wheels that would be cool... might have to move the dash a bit back for that but it looks impressive
