  1. Every MOT tester I’ve had for the Z hasn’t been a fan of being corrected on this! In the end they used to give up arguing, pass it and take a photo of the chart as a back up in case they had any come back on it. Thankfully from a fellow Z owner near me, have found a tester who knows their stuff so no more stressing about MOT emissions every year!
  2. Amayama are highly recommended for OEM parts, 99.9% of the time with cheapest prices worldwide. Concept Z Performance and Z1 Motorsports are the largest aftermarket parts suppliers, both based in the USA. Shipping is easy and within 4 days often, faster to ship from USA or Japan that it is with Royal Mail within the UK!!
  3. They’re all great guys, Edwin is a proper enthusiast for sure. Been watching since the height of Car Throttle days. Looking forward to more vids on their Z.
  4. Very happy for you, I remember seeing your fb post and thinking he’s got no chance with that budget 🤣but you’ve done really well it seems! Keep us updated and more pics please.
  5. Very trustworthy and well known to be. I’ve been using them for 5 years, lots of other forum members and owners have used them without any mention of problems so I’d go for it.
  6. Hi Chand, It appears you’re in luck! I’ve just checked on Amayama Japan website and they can source all 3 of these parts - link: https://www.amayama.com/en
  7. Been following this build for a while, such a shame to hear of the issues. How has your experience been with RaceCal? I’ve heard really good things about them.
  8. What he says ^^^ Ive found this many a times.
  9. Yep red ones were on 99 specs, unsure if they were specific to the TT’s or on NA’s too. Never seen an OEM car with the gold badge.
  10. I've got these CZP G5 turbos - very very responsive and perfect for UK road use.
  11. All top quality parts! A long time coming for these works, very excited to see the results 😃. How are you going about tuning? SZ chip to suit the mods?
  12. There's been owners take their Z's from Scotland, Europe and Ireland so not unheard of to travel the distance. Correct - never been to Newcastle or know of any of its iconic landmarks.
  13. My Z which was previously owned by Dazsw from the above posts had this when I bought it. I had the exact symptoms as noted above, no noticeable power loss but rattle under low load in 2nd gear at low speed. It sounded like an exhaust shield loose which my car didn’t have, or flywheel/clutch related. A year and a half after buying it, I took it for a new Link ECU and the tuner found the passenger side turbo wastegate hose I believe had popped off and was rattling around. Once reconnected, rattle gone! Very random, but this might be your issue. Before the issue was identified, I had the flywheel and clutch changed but issue remained so ruled out that.
  14. Looking very clean indeed. How’s the Z been treating you? If you need any work carried out, the club highly recommend PowerZed in the Bristol area just off the M4.
  15. I’ve also heard the same about the GK Tech fan. The Z gurus advise best to stick to OEM fan.
  16. That seems to be a common occurrence with the orientation of the OEM wheels! Such a stunning example, inside and out, would love to own - I've been trying to do the man maths which involves selling the reliable and cheap to run daily driver. That will not go down too well with the other half! 😆
  17. Saw this clean UK spec original Z on Pistonheads, at the surprisingly low price of £22,495! It was originally at £29,995 which is what I’d expect it to be worth. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/16723286 The dealerships MD has owned since 2014 which is a good sign and some maintenance work completed, although no note of who carried out the work… Probably a good buy for someone at this price. Over the years, I’ve had an itch to own a completely original Z, in my dream 2 car Z garage, so always keeping an eye out (even though I definitely cannot afford one for quite a few years to come!).
  18. Cheers mate much appreciated 👍🏽
  19. Yep for the Z. Need the transporter to be enclosed though as don’t want all that grit spraying the underside of the car!
  20. Hi All, can anyone recommend a good enclosed transporter firm in the South or London areas?
  21. Spacers would finish it off really nicely 👍🏽.
  22. In this case it’s too late as you’ve already ordered but in future I would just buy from Z1, CZP or Amayama Japan. I’ve ordered so many parts including various uncommon items from each of these suppliers and never waited longer than a few weeks.
  23. Nice parts list, I’m looking to a get a set of KW V3’s in the future, all the German car guys rave about them, great UK road compliancy and brilliant handling so best of both worlds. If you’re after manual conversions, contact Paul Clements at Banzai Breakers. He sells the most comprehensive kits and best quality.
  24. All sorted in under a week 😀. Had the choice of having a long day Thursday but driving back in dry weather or an easy journey Friday but rain the whole way back. Opted for the struggle on Thursday with no rain and it was great to get one last long drive before winter hibernation. Saw a few fellow beasts at PowerZed - Grahams 690bhp monster and a 500-550bhp yellow Z with an unopened engine, bolt ons only and all managed by a SZ chip! It surprised me the chip can run an engine on those power levels reliably.
