just take your time and bleed the system well for airlocks as it sounds as that may have been a factor with your heating issues, also worth changing the thermostat and checking the housing isnt all clogged up with crap

tbh Ive never done it for a flush, Just use a good coolant flush first, Ive always used Forte coolant flush and then use there cooling conditioner aswell, touch wood ive never once had a cooling issue in any of my cars. I do tend to jack the car up from the diff to help get all the old crap out though but dont think its really nessasary.

Irrc I think its only a matter of remove the inner wheel arch liner and 2 bolts to completely remove it. Craig

from what im led to believe our engines run best on 10/40 semi syn fella, Well thats the advice i got from opie oils and ive been running semi synthetic in all my zeds with no problems at all, May want to consider a 5/10 semi syn for the winter though to allow the oil to get round the engine quicker in this cold weather. Id drain out the engine chap and go semi synthetic. Craig

yeah its only something like 2 ltrs but google the bike fella thats your best bet or ring up a local bike supplier and ask

I think its like a 5/40 but remember to buy specialist bike oil NOT!!!! car oil as it knackers your clutch and makes it slip my brother made that mistake

HMM not impressed with them been waiting 3 weeks for douglas to come back to me about some wheels to replace some damaged ones on a friends zed, Ill give them another call tomorrow in one last ditch effort, Seems to me so far they are happy to sell you a product but when you need after sales its too much hassle. Is it trying to fire? I had something similar last week turned out the main coil relay in the large fuse box had failed, I had a spare but if i remember right you can use the aircon relay instead to test it!

Yes you can but its bloody difficult and for the time it takes you may aswell just take the engine out depending on what you know and how much help you get could take a morning could take all day!! you can also address any other issues at the same time e.g check hoses EGR deletion Water pipe bypass etc etc. I still recommend getting someone who knows these engines to help.
