Calling all South East Auto Zed Owners..
I've got an auto TT and I'm just past Stowmarket along the A14 (about 20 minutes from Bury). I've only had the car a week and it's a fresh import, but as far as I can tell it's changing fine so you're welcome to come and compare. I've driven plenty of auto's over the years, so I know how they should feel. I'm about during the day tomorrow but out most of Saturday. Gary

Norfolk/Suffolk meet - 15 April 2006
What time are you all likely to meet up?. As I'm the new guy around here I'd quite like to meet up with some other Z owners and I'm just outside Needham Market so it's just a short trip up the A140 for me. You can all tell me what a pile of crap I've brought ;) Gary

Have I got a Boost controller?
I've added some slightly better pictures, but I'm pretty sure it's a boost controller, so thanks for all the advise folks. If I do decide to have a play, then I'll keep it below 1 bar.

Have I got a Boost controller?
Not sure about the engine but I was told it has the updated bumpers front and rear and it has some after market 17 inch alloys, but time will tell whether it was a good buy or not.

Have I got a Boost controller?
Cheers, yes point taken which is why I haven't fiddled with it yet and I'll probably not fiddle with it until I've had the car checked over and I know it's OK. I got it from a guy in Birmingham who imported this Z and an MR-S (Jap MR-5) last year, but liked the MR-S so never registered the Z until last week. Gary

Have I got a Boost controller?
Hmmm didn't think of a Turbo timer, but then the engine does not run on. The digits along the top of the LED's start at .5 and go up to 1.4 What's the standard boost of the Z in BAR?. I'll try and take a better photo in the morning as it was to dark and this was the best of a bad lot.

Have I got a Boost controller?
Hi Folks, Used to own a 280Z years ago, but I'm new to the world of the 300Z and turbo's but here goes: Picked up my Z yesterday and there are a couple of extra's on it. The guy I got it from imported the car and didn't know what they were and I'm guessing one is a boost controller. See photo (crap I know) - It has a norm/set button that turns from orange to green when pressed, a row of LED's up to 1.4 and then a small dial at the other end with a min and max setting. I assume in Normal mode the car functions as normal. I haven't tried using it yet, but am I likely to notice much difference?. There's also a boost guage stuck on the side of the dash, seems to follow the stock one quite well. Updates images - still slightly out of focus :( Have to say, I can't stop looking at the car ...... a thing of beauty  Cheers, Gary

New Z
The guy lives in the Hodge Hill area, but he came out to meet me at the station (Birmingham International).

New Z
Good luck, hope it all goes well. I got a train to Birmingham yesterday to pick up a Z  and then took a very careful 3 hour drive back. I say careful because the car had not been run for a year after it's import (apart for an MOT recently). Listened at every rattle and noise, watched all the guages, but the only problem I hit was when the wipers decided to jam against each other and bend which made for an interesting journey back in the rain. Now the fun begins.

insurance advice (again yes!)
Good grief, so there are times it's good to be an old fart, well ok maybe not that old (42). Just transferred my existing insurance for my Rover 800 that runs out in June, swapped to an imported TT I'm picking up on Friday, cost me just £40 extra. On that basis I should be able to get a years insurance for around £400. I'm currently with Norwich Union Direct but will definately ring around before I renew.

Where to take a Z in Suffolk
It's a TT and I'm really just after someone giving it the once over for me as it's been many years since I owned a Z. I'm happy to do regular oil changes and I don't mind getting my hand dirty now and again, but generally would get someone else to do any major work when needed. Reading lots of the threads here it's easy to get worried that it will fall apart any moment, but I know with a bit of care (and lots of money :( ) it can be a car I enjoy for as many years as I wish to. I'll keep an eye out next time I'm going down Bramford road as I often use it as route into work. Cheers, Gaz

Where to take a Z in Suffolk
I'm not talking about a trip to the beach or anything (although that would be quite nice as well when the weather warms up), I'm interested in getting my Z checked over and would like to know where abouts in and around Suffolk to take it. Thanks folks Gaz
