  1. Hope you are enjoying it bud. What's the snow like at the moment? I'm off that area in a couple of weeks and have been told the snow is crap at the moment.
  2. What about a caution also. When you are charged with any offence, you should also be cautioned under the Police and Criminal Evidence act (PaCE). You have the right to remain silent etc. The Road Traffic act removes your right to silence by stating that you MUST identify the driver, if at all possible. There was a big thing about it in Motor Cycle News a while back with a suggested response. I'll see if I can dig it up.
  3. I quite like it. It looks like a mad scowling axeman about to chop your head off. It shouts GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR to me.

Yup, they drink fuel like mad. 80 litre tank and under normal conditions, you would be lucky to get 400 miles. Take it off road or boot it, then expect no more than 250. I have the Shogun 3l V6 which is plenty fast enough for a 4 X 4 and if you chuck a trailor on it it is hardly noticable. Although it also drinks fuel (but who cares, I get it tax free  ). Extremely reliable busses, but expect high insurance and repair costs. Colin
  5. James, Wouldn't you then just have a 'sprayed plastic' interior rather than a nicely trimmed interior. I think it would look tacky (IMO of course). Colin
  6. The worlds temperatures have risen and fallen for millions of years, how do you think ice ages happen. I think statistics are a load of bull ............. and I am not brushing my teeth tomorrow!
  7. Anyone got one of these? Or opinions pse. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/90-97-NISSAN-300ZX-JDM-TURBO-NA-CATBACK-EXHAUST-SYSTEM_W0QQitemZ250070035167QQihZ015QQcategoryZ43118QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Colin
  8. ^^^ What Andy said. I have done IAM and a couple of police courses for the bike and IMHO they are the best things I could have done. I did get a course on a skid car a few years back which certainly helps if the back end kicks out as I know how to react, but IAM taught me how to avoid that situation. That said, nothing like a bit of fun on private land though.
  9. :xxx:  That was funny.
  10. Hanging and 3 x 2 on a dog! That's just cruel. We have a 4 year old Rottweiler and have had him since he was a pup. At no time have we ever even so much as smacked our dog and he is wonderful, well behaved and loving. Makki's right that you have to show them that you are the pack leader, but it can be achieved in other ways. Our kids used to feed the dog, but only after they had eaten their dinner. He had to wait until we had greeted each other before him. Simple things to show that he is not the pack leader - we were. It quickly taught him that he is at the bottom of the chain. Rotti's can be very pig headed and will 'try it on' if you let them. All we did, and still do sometimes, was use our voice (different tones). Its exactly the same with a dog pack, the leader will bark and snap, and will bite only on very very rare occasions. Dogs crave attention (positive and negative) so denying them it works wonders. I do agree that keeping your kids away from this dog is a good idea and you shouldn't worry about what they think. It needs training!
  11. Who, what, where & why? I'm a bit of a doer and not knower. Though it was about time I learned why I do things.
  12. Right, I have decided to spend a bit of cash on my car (a 90 NA) but don't want to go too mad. I have already re-trimmed the interior, fitted an Apexi filter, Grounding Kit, Smithys Bling plenum cover and replaced my vacuum hoses. I intend to replace the complete exhaust system, including NA headers and de-cat. I also intend to get rid of the jap clocks and get some UK ones in there (autobahns and speed limiters do not mix). I've got a rust spot on the rear hatch, so will speak to my local paint shop who I have heard good things about, to fix. I will also speak to DTA Holland about a good service (oooeeerrr). I have thought about the lightened pulleys, but am not too sure exactly what benefits I will receive from going this route (any advice welcome). I'm not after massive power gains or huge bLiNg factor, but want to do the common sense things. Suggestions?
  13. Here here Andy, totally agree. Not had any ice over here yet, but once it arrives, my 300 will remain in the garage, and I've had skid car training! Lets all look forward to the spring time before thrashing our cars. Be safe
  14. Could your firewall be blocking it? I know mine does.
  15. /\ /\ Whar he said. I'm going to have nightmares now. Here piggy piggy
  16. Slightly worried now!! :smash: Firstly, why ask such a question :nono: Secondly, how do you all know to feed em to the pigs  Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllppppppppppp.
  17. Can I do mine in Euros? I might look like I have had a life then ;)
  18. But you don't get lovely, scantily clad women draping themselves over them! Nice pic, nice car Scotty.
  19. If you are in a lot of debt mate, buy something cheap to run and insure and put the rest towards your debts (dont you dare go for a nova!). Get yourself back on your feet and then think about nice(ish) cars etc. Debts don't go away!
  20. Do some asking about. A UK TT will more than likely be cheaper to insure than an import NA. There is plenty of experience on here regarding insurance and qiute a few younger drivers who can give you a better idea than an old git like me :) . I have an NA and absolutely love it. Not as fast as the TT, but I believe, more reliable. Lets face it, the 300zx is a supercar with supercar running costs no matter which model you have. Be sure to shop around and get the best you can afford and check out the for sale section on here you will generally know what you are getting from a club members car. As for the specs, do a search and there will be plenty of info.
  21. Received mine yesterday. Very nice, Well done to all involved

Another one: After you have just chopped fresh chillis you'll need a pee! Flippin hurts too :o
  24. The marks would have to be 7.5 ft apart to be doing 36 mph. Might be worthwhile going to the spot and measuring them. If they are 5 ft apart get a solicitor involved and prove them wrong.
  25. I worked it out to 23.86 mph too but using a different method: 3.5 x 2 x 5 = 35fps (3.5 marks x 2 half seconds x 5 feet per unit) 35 x 60 x 60 = 126000 fph (35 fps x 60 seconds x 60 minutes) divide by 5280 (feet in a mile) = 23.86 mph If the distances between the markings are correct then there was no speeding involved. At 36 mph you would have to cross 5.28 marks. HTH Colin Edit: took me so long to work out, didn't notice the same conclusion above
