i think on the GTR its on the left as you look in the engine bay. so when you install a EBC you remove or disconnect the boost solenoid (i think mine has been removed) and if that fails you end up with safety boost pressure

is that part of the EBC that the turbo pipes go to

yes i get the same boost with EBC on or off, think EBC might be knackered, its a HKS III

if i raise the boost on the boost controller nothing happens i am running at 0.7 bar. so if the solenoids were disconnected and the boost controller failed you would run at 6psi

thanks mate i never new the zed had selenoids i thought the turbos spooled up and when the waste gates got to a certain pressure i.e 9.5psi they dumped the pressure. does the selenoid have some way of dumping pressure then?

i know why but i'm wondering how if the waste gate is machanical how does it drop the pressure to 7.5 psi. thing is my GTR only boosts to 0.7 bar and thinging it might be in safety boost, it has a boost controller

is the steering boss for the 300zx the same as a R33 GTR, i have bought a new steering wheel but need to get a boss
