  1. Alot of wheels in stock Z offset wont fit unless the spokes curve outwards. also z's have quite a large centre bore hole so it can be tricky finding wheels to accomodate that also. Can't answer your offset question sorry, i just went with what wheels i liked in the offset i could get them, and nothing wrong with bolt on spacers. i'm getting some once all my suspension arms arrive in november and get all the camber rights etc then i can decide on spacer thickness.
  2. NICE!!!! If you really want to set them off paint ya calipers red or blue or whatever takes your fancy, you need caliper paint to do it, due to the high temps. i had mine apart at the time but most people just mask em up. You cant see the wording too well in the picture but i left it in silver, you cant do this 2 ways, smear grease on it where you dont want paint and wipe off after, or paint the whole lot and use a toothbrush sized wirebrush to clean out the words, you will notice they have a kind of machined texture in the wording which i thought was a nice thing to keep. Heres how mine turned out.
  3. Did not know! that do you know what year they changed to series 2? I have 3 digital ones here but they all of them are the same and are 1989 1991 and 1992. Cheers.
  4. First relay box taking shape, contains fuses for horn and headlight relays, horn relay, rad fan relay, headlight dim relay. :cool2:
  5. Best tip i can give you is find something interesting on thier profile and ask them about it, just be yourself be casual about it, don't be dirty unless they start it and you'll have legs round ya ears within a week.
  6. It's alright mate, sometimes things just have to be explained before it all clicks together glad i could make it click :clown:
  7. Aha sweet! now i just got to do the reverse as i'm already digital lol, you still got the old loom aircon parts and centres?
  8. supercharger or turbo is just forcing air into the plenum, so everything just stays on the plenum, if you look at the vg30de vs vg30dett you'll see the brake feed is on the same art of the plenum :)
  9. Thanks mate. You updated to the digital? What year is your car? it was my understanding the digital control was ditched sometime between 94-96 and the changed to the older looking manual controls to give the driver more control over where the air would go. all cars i've seen here bar the only 96 i have seen had digital, perhaps it differs on the uk spec so figured i would ask I was tempted to go to the manual controls as i know somebody with some for sale but i do think they look a bit dated, in saying this i would like the extra control. but the digital definately does look far better!
  10. i should suffice it with this... when the engine is "off boost" the engine is still sucking air just as a n/a engine would. think of forced induction as supplementary air. the engine is still sucking that air in (not quite as much due to lower compression)
  11. :stupid: FINE... lol The supercharger is forcing the air into the engine like a turbo, the vacuum assis to the brake boost still works fine as do any other vacuum lines as the air is still going into the engine, just with more pressure. In laymans terms of course
  12. Oh dear... dill you're good at laymans terms you field this.
  13. Post up the photoshop :devil2:
  14. I find that very hard to believe, i want to see a video of you assembling an engine in your sleep. ^_^
  15. Well if i really did dislike them what would you do, you've already bought em! :tt2: They look good buddy.
  16. In laymans terms you are right, in technical terms you are wrong and i really cant be arsed explaining the principles of the internal combustion engine to you.
  17. I don't even know where to start on how wrong that is.
  18. Yeah its alright sun is coming up on a decent friday morning, i've done alot more at the other end of the loom so heres another pic i just took... i must be mad.
  19. Given guy says he has only owned it 3 months i think not.
  20. Well i tucked away all my engine loom and instead of just patch fixing it i went hey i'll take the whole body loom that runs under the guards, shorten the heck out of it and bring it inside the car... 20 hours of work later i'm almost ready to shorten. This seemed like a good idea in my head.
  21. But... It's already friday... tommorrow i'll sling you the lotto numbers. I shall reply properly to this at a later time, i have been up the entire night with my z's body harness all over my floor and now i have wires everywhere and relays and ahhhh whos stupid idea was this. It was you wasn't it. :shaun:
  22. Apologies it's 6psi on the stock wastegate springs.
