Transfer or Reg Number
Do they ? mine dont. But if this is the case and you wanted to put a plate on your car you can take it to be tested while sorned as long as you make an appointment and the garage has your reg number recorded in that appointment.

Transfer or Reg Number
Not if it has a current MOT:wink:
-
Transfer or Reg Number
It is poorly worded. It needs to be a type of vehicle that needs an MOT for you to be able to have a Number plate on it. BUT to transfer a plate from or too the vehicle it has to have a current MOT.
-
Transfer or Reg Number
You absolutely need an MOT I am afraid. Here is another bit lifted from the poorly worded site. How to transfer a registration number Complete a V317 ‘application to transfer or retain a vehicle registration number’. If the number is being transferred to someone else’s vehicle, both registered keepers must complete the application. You should also include: the £80 transfer fee (cheque or postal order, payable to DVLA) the registration certificate or the new keeper supplement with a completed V62 ‘application for a vehicle registration certificate V5C’ for each vehicle an MOT test certificate (for cars and motorcycles over 3 years old, and heavy goods vehicles over 1 year old) for each vehicle If the new keeper’s supplement has been stamped by a DVLA local office you’ll need to complete a V62 ‘application for a vehicle registration certificate V5C’ before you can apply. Send your application to the DVLA. DVLA Swansea SA99 1DS

Insurance Black Boxes.
Ok Lots of horror stories out there from the big old interweb. I have spoken to 4 people that have actually had them fitted now with none of them having issues it would appear Tesco only monitor mileage and then increase premium the following year if you have been a real nob. 2 had the the box removed had no charge after 1 year and the other 2 it is still in the car with the insurance company saying "it's not worth the hassle of removing". I still have not decided yet however managed to get a quote for a 1.2 Leon, £1200 value 8000 miles per year In his own name with a full licience. Tesco Black Box = £1310 Pivelage without box =£1540. We must live in a posh part of Bagdad, my daughter is 24 and pays £540 for a 225 Audi TT with me and her mum named on it.:tt2:

Insurance Black Boxes.
WHAT????? No to all of the above. and I said 1500 not 1200 and he is 17 I will have to check into this more regarding the police issues, as a parent who lost an 18 year old boy due to him speeding in the wrong place I fully agree with Jeff's points.

It is looking like I will have to go this route for the Lad to get a Sub £1500 insurance quote on a 1.0 Polo. Does anyone have any experience of having a Box fitted? Good or Bad Cheers

new series of wheeler dealers
Bugger I can't edit subs ran out today:blushing: But I need to add. Wife had a Renualt 19 for 4 years and the worst that happened is passenger door lock siezed and I had to squirt WD 40 into it to free it off. Daughter had a Clio 1.2 for 2 years and I had to change a headlight bulb. I also had a Peugeot 406 3.0 Coupe ( not renault but french) for just under 4 years  and it had a back box in that time. None of these were new cars either. I am one lucky sod or there is some myth and legend to these "french shite" stories:thumbup1: Off to put me lottery on

new series of wheeler dealers
I must have dropped lucky then, I had a Phase 1 for 18 months only thing I bought were two front tyres and then I bought a graphite grey Phase 2, took it straight to BBR ann had anti torque steer kit and bleed valve fitted only thing that failed in about 2 years was I blew the top off the intercooler so fitted a one peice. As you can probably gather I loved both of mine:cool2:
