  1. Everything stock suspension and wheels (insurance needs) Car is straight, no signs of a shunt or anything bent.
  2. It does and so far we have snapped the original in May so bought a new OEM one and fitted, Snapped that 100 miles later which was replaced free of charge and now 700 miles later we have snapped that one. They are not going to keep replacing them, I need to find Root cause.
  3. Again a good call. Yes fitting OEM and it is snapping not pulling apart. It has snapping on the inner NSF all three times
  4. Its a fair comment but I have been in it with him when it went on one occasion and both other corners it snapped on cannot really be taken with any 18 year old exuberance. No marks on wheels or tyres to suggest hitting kerb either. He is a pretty honest kid (we all say that I know) he fesses up to stuff I would not have owned up to at his age to my old man. It is a real shame cos it is a great first time car and I have put discs, pads, suspension, tyres, cambelt change, new followers etc etc on it and it would be a real kick in the Taters if this beats me.
  5. Looking for any suggestions or experience here folks. My Lad has a 2003 1.4 16v Golf. It has just snapped its 3rd NSF inner drive shaft. We bought it last June for him to learn in he passed his test in Ocotber and all was fine, we had the clutch changed in January at the same time it was noted the large gearbox mount had broken so this was replaced also. The Drive shaft broke in May while turning right. It then broke again about 100 miles later while turning right and it has just broken again 700 miles later while turning right. I cannot find anything obvious and neither can my (very trusted) mechanic. I have put a lot of work into this car for the lad and it would be a shame to have to give up on it. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  6. This is ALL I remember when I think of Purple Rain
  7. Zelda is the reason I bought a ZED also. :cool2::cool2:
  8. I have been saying Chris Evans and Jay Kay for weeks But Susie Wolff is a good call as well:drool::blush:
  9. That looks Awesome. Looking forward to seeing it finished:thumbup:
  10. I will vote, but unless I vote labour, it will be as effective as a back pocket in a vest. You could stand a Syphilitic pig in lipstick up with a Labour rosette on round here and it would win. So I have John Mann representing me again, the most obnoxious big headed tw@t I have ever had the misfortune to meet (three times).
  11. I love everything about your car including the interior. If the velour is just a stop gap and you can sell the leather then why not. BUT If you swap permanent :ban: (sorry there was not a simile saying "again") :tt2:
  12. I like that purple one.:thumbup1: I have always thought Funkysi's was then best there is, I wouldn't call it standard though.
  13. Cheers folks. My dads Birthday today also, so I am knocking off now because it really is,
  14. Seeing as YOU ASKED FOR OPINIONS:thumbup1: I think the message you sent makes you come across a bit of a knob:blush: and if it was my ad I would not give you the pleasure of a response. IMO of course.
  15. Yep I was at this one, it was a great turn out.:cool2:
  16. Hi Tubz:cool2: Hope you enjoyed the Welcome Back :w00t:
  17. Nowt wrong with 80's leg warmers
  18. Very Nice collection AND nice House :cool2:
  19. And punks and skins and rasta's will all gather round and hold their hands in sorrow for their fallen leader. And all the grown-ups will say, "But why are the kids crying?" And the kids will say, "Haven't you heard? Rick is dead! The People's Poet is dead!" RIP
  20. Well I think this long time member with a low post count has got involved and proved I am not afraid to be shot down. :tt2:
  21. Why wouldn't you "let it run"? I still don't agree it is social media that has made this site change. Other forums go from strength to strength It's more to do with post's like the one above. Fook it I'm off Bye
  22. I can't say that I agree that it is down to Mobile phones other wise how come facebook Twitter etc. are so busy telling us what they had for dinner:death: The other car forums I go on are just as busy as always. Even the Alpina Website moves faster than here at the moment:confused1: I am not having a dig, I mean I still come back here regularly and I have not owned a Zed for over 7 years:cool3: I just wish we could get some fun back into some of the threads.
  23. Oh ok it has changed again :blushing: Yes all makes sense now. Cheers
  24. Has there been a down turn in cars for sale since the site went to the new classifieds or am I doing something wrong? I know post traffic in general has slowed down here but I am really surprised there is only one car for sale, unless (highly likely:blushing:) I am doing something wrong.
