  1. Is it true that these engines have some kind of sheer pin that connects both banks of 3 cylinders together? The idea being if a piston seizes on one side it still allows you to drive on the good bank of cylinders through the sheer pin snapping? A guy who works on jet engines told me this. It kinda makes sense but is it really true???

  3. Yes i can get full boost no probs. I can set the boost to 1.2 bar and it hits it fine!! I dont know if its just me but im sure the boost at idle was -7 ( on aftermarket gauge also?) Is it possible there is a leak causing this slight loss?

  5. Im paranoid somethings up. What should turbo boost gauge display when car is idling?
  6. Cheers Andy. And btw I did find a great big hole in my boost pipe. Unfortunately it was touching against the exhaust manifold and melt in half :D
  7. Whats correct part number for a Z32 oil filter? Is it 15208-55Y00??? Im sure its ok but it does not state z32 on side of box just the 300zx z31 vg30 and vg30T??
  8. Yes mate this is same on mine. Your used to the crappy one on the dash hardly moving :) The needle will jump around quite alot :D
  9. No worries mate ill find out what oil was next week. Oil pressure reads bar on mine and goes up as far as 10bar. Normally reads between 4-6.

  11. I have recently had the front suspension changed to the original shocks with lowered eibach springs. The ride is now very good however it seems to make a squidgy noise which it didnt before on the old setup. When you look in the engine bay on the top of the shock mounts there is the bit that sticks out. Well, when I bounce the car this moves up and down a little which Ive been reliably informed it should not do, It should be solid! The guys who fitted this suspension at a local garage needed to order extra bits from nissan to fit it. Those parts are as follows :- 0122500231 - nut hex -------------x5 089123401A - nut hex -------------x2 5611733p20 - bracket -------------x2 5405033p20 - bumper assy--------- x2 5432933p00 - spacer -------------x2 5432033p70 - insulation - strut------x2 5611532p50 - bracket -------------x2 5465533p20 - dust cover -----------x2 Does what was ordered look correct? Does anyone know if there is a spacer missing or something?? Thanks for any help :confused:

  14. Just to let everyone know that these Defi gauges are unreal :hyper: I had 3 fitted today at Ztech along with the control unit. Ryan had not fitted them before but they went in a treat and were very easy to setup. Not only do they look fantastic (Ryan wants some now) but they have features such as play/record, peak adjustable warning settings and adjustable low warning settings. This system is quite expensive over here with a system like this costing around 700 smackers. However I found these on ebay from a japanese seller called quallified japanese parts. I saved myself 300 getting them for only 410. They arrived from japan in as little as 4 days.   15. lol i know but seriously I have the mag infront of me. It says theres an initial primary wet shot of around 60hp then the secondary comes in and increases to 200+. It is an american mag (top tuners special edition april 2005) so id expect alot of exaggeration :D
  16. To be honest I think he did cheat and use serious amounts of NOS. Engine was producing 700hp without the nitrous shots.
  17. I have a magazine from the states with a TT Z that uses GreddyTD06 20G turbos. This car has 1051 bhp and 868lb-ft of torque!!! I guess these turbos are good :D

  22. A while back i saw a post that included a photo of the engine bay with everything labelled as to what it was or did. Can anyone help me find it or have similar pics?
  23. Cheers for that ill give it a go. Interesting you say it could be the bonnet..... It does bounce around ever so slightly when driving but I never associated it to the noise. It might just work :D
  24. seems to come from front right of car - apparent when going over bumps it sounds like plastic squeeking together and is quite loud. I know breakdusts car makes the exact same noise as mine and wondered if it is common? My suspension is brand new so i know its not springs or shocks. Even when you shut the doors its enough to cause it to make the squeek its beginning to get on my tits :headvswal Anyone help me out :confused:
  25. 10 - 13 seconds is quick yes but the holy grail of 1/4 mile sprints is to do it under 10 seconds. Theres a guy called Andy Forest who runs a 700 bhp scooby impreza that can pull in under 10 seconds I saw it at crail the thing was mental. I guess 4wd has the edge over a 2 wheel drive car off the mark which for drag counts for a lot. I have an mpeg of a supra tt going under 10 seconds which is around the same bhp as the scooby.
