I had this happen to me a while back. Think theres a much greater chance it being the prop bearing. Although its not actually the bearing that goes its the rubber around it that sags causing it to hunt for the centre hence the vibration. Go with the prop bearing first.

This sometimes happens to mine after a drive when im slowly reversing into drive or making a turn to stop always at very low speed. The steering goes heavy and the speedo flicks off the clock!

its going in next week to get checked out where it was fitted - hopefully will be something simple. Cheers for help :)

they are brand new only done a couple thousand miles! standard nissan shocks with brand new eibach lowering springs. Not sure if they have been fitted incorrectly! Making horrible banging noise over bumps. The shock shaft itself when looked at from the top of shock tower in engine bay moves up and down when bounced which its not supposed to do - god knows whats up :rant:

sorry to butt in but im having bother with my suspension - with the eibach springs some of you guys are using, are you using standard shocks with them? mine are banging not sure if the shock is fully compressed or whats going on!

Yeah ive spent a packet too! Mine blew up same day I bought it - damn thing never got me home!

Thanks for help guys. Craig-s your more than welcome mate id appreciate the help. The more I discuss this with folk at work the more it seems possible the lowered eibach spring might be too short for the standard nissan shock! However, I am told from a good source that this combination works fine! Its booked in next week by the people who fitted it to start with so if anything is missing or fitted wrong etc at least they will put it right for nothing (and correct) !

If you mean the defi's I got a good deal from a place on ebay called qualified japanese parts. I paid £410 for 3 gauges and a ctrl unit. Just run a search on defi gauges to find them.

He's crazy busy dont take it personally. Hes a top bloke just cant talk to everyone at once :(
