  1. I'm looking at this from the other a side of the fence bud. My step daughter is 6 and I've been with her mum for 3½ years (married for 1½). I was considering moving abroad a while back, but ended up binning the plan because my step daughter is quite close to her dad. I felt it would be very selfish of me to take her away from him. From what you've said I hope that things work out. To be talking about moving to the US after only a short relationship sounds like a bad idea IMHO. Good luck fella  CheerZ Steve :)
  2. How long has she known the American guy? Steve :)
  3. Only just spotted this! Have a goodun mate and look after yourself and those around you  Steev :)
  4. I've got a couple of used ones in stock if you don't grab Vinz's one :D Steve :)
  5. Oh FFS - I have an envelope full of stickers that I meant to bring with me today :xxx: Sorry guys - next meet :slap: Steve :)

  7. Thanks to all who attended today. Great turnout and great weather  Thanks especially to Jeremy for giving me a lift there and back :D Sorry I had to duck out early, but a big thanks to Gaz for taking over the organising. I've got some video and pics and will post up when I get a chance. I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and that the rest of the day went well  CheerZ Steve :)
  8. LOL - see you there guys  Steve :)
  9. Errrm it still has to pass the emmissions test, it just doesn't have to be tested for a cat. Otherwise it could chuck out any old crap. Mine smoked on idle after about 5 mins but the tester allowed me to switch of the ignition and restart it as this usually sorted the problem.. Hope you get it sorted bud Steve :)
  10. FFS - I'll be there but not in the Zed. Have just taken her out for the first time today and noticed a strong fuel smell. Lifted the bonnet and No 2 injector is pissing Shell V Power all over the underside of the bonnet  Starting to wish I hadn't had the most recent mods done :( See you there people :) Steve :)
  11. Just been out for a test drive and I'm boosting again! Just need to setup the Profec B now and should be in business  CheerZ Steve :)
  12. Found it  First off, supported the bonnet with an appropriate bonnet stay replacement... After much faffing, I discovered that the vacuum pipe from this connector on the plenum had been trapped under my front strut brace tower and had been damaged... Should be able to replace this (if I can find out where it goes  ) and be back in business for Saturday  I also found this connector was unplugged (front left of pass side suspension tower). Is this one of the stock boost solenoid connectors? Steve :)
  13. I only had a quick look today Dave - will have a proper check tomorrow morning
  14. Don't see why not - the time slots aren't completely full yet :) Make sure you find a space above Steve :) *EDIT* I've pencilled myself in for 1-2pm just in case I get the car sorted ;)
  15. Sorry to hear bud - hope you get her sorted :( Steve :)
  16. *GULP* fingers crossed it's off the solenoid  CheerZ Steve :)
  17. Good stuff! I'll be bringing the above times with me on the day, but there will always be room for chopping and changing. Common sense is the name of the game  Steve:)
  18. I work from home most days :D Still not been on much recently as I'm trying to keep as busy as possible :( Steve :)
  19. Thanks for the replies fellas  I've got a boost leak detector but I'm not sure it'll help much as it's hissing away like a goodun anyway when the car is idling. I was just hoping to get an idea of the possible vacuum pipe culprit under there :) I've got a spare plenum in the garage so will take a look at that tomorrow  CheerZ Steve :)
  20. I took the Zed for her 2nd attempt MOT today and she's passed! :D Whilst running to and from the MOT station, I think I found why my new tubs aren't producing any positive boost! I have a huuuge boost leak (constant pssst on idle) which seems to be under the passenger side of the plenum. I'm guessing that a pipe has popped off as the plenum was only recently refitted... Any ideas what pipe this may be and is it likely to be repairable with plenum in place? If I can get this sorted by the weekend, then maybe I can take her to the rolling road day after all  Many thanks for any ideas! CheerZ Steve :)
  21. That would be great bud - many thanks! I'll call you towards the end of the week! Keep 'em coming people  Steve :)
  22. LOL - you may have noticed that I've not voted above :( As it happens therefore, a lift would be mucho appreciated! If you're bringing the Mrs, I'll head down in my daily driver to save cramping in the back :D CheerZ Steve :)
  23. Nice one - keep 'em coming :D
  24. I think we need a few more to sign up for this Eileen :( Come on 300zx.co.uk members - where are you? Steve :)
  25. BUMP - I could have sworn that more than 2 members signed up for this  ;) Steve :)
