  1. I've just started to get this on start up as well! Sometimes it only lasts a minute other times longer. But when you're in a crowded car park it seems to go on for hours! :( :( :( I'm going to try Ady's suggestion first as it seems like the easiest solution... :D Cheerz Steve
  2. Hi John One of my suppliers has a few of these in stock at the moment... Toshiba Tecra 8000 233MHz Pentium II 233MHz, 64MB RAM, 4.1GB HDD, CD Rom, 12" TFT screen, USB FDD, Carry case. Weight 2.85kg (without case) - 90 day Swapout Warranty £239.00 plus VAT and delivery Note that it doesn't come with an OS so you would need to make sure you have the necessary software. These are reconditioned ex-lease machines. I've had a few laptops off them before and they are very good quality. Other models are available if you want a better/different spec. Let me know if this is of any interest to you! Cheerz Steve
  3. Stu, we must've got our wires crossed... Never mind, as we all made it and had a top day! :D :D :D Cheerz Steve :D
  4. Mac, we thought that was your car in SE's yard when we turned up at 8:30 on Sunday morning.... Picture the scene: 08:35 - We've just arrived with 4 other Zeds at SE to meet everyone before heading off to the RR place. There's nobody else here  08:50 - We're still here - no other fekker has turned up! 08:55 - Spot what looks like Macs car - we agree they'll deffo be here soon as Mac will probably be the first car on the rollers! 09:10 - Call the RR place - they've already started FFS and Mac's not running at all! Frantically head off and try to find the place!! :D :D :D Hope the car gets sorted mate! Cheerz Steve :D
  5. And the air filter is...? No, I think even I can work that one out! :p Cheerz Vijay! Steve :D
  6. SRRAE - Sorry to sound like a thickie but where is the MAS located?! RobH - No apparent detonation here so I'll check the other 2 possibilities first! Kia99 - LOL :p Cheerz lads! Steve
  7. Thanks Stuart! I did think of the PTU but this was replaced with a new series 2 unit about 3 years (20,000 miles) ago! I'll whip it out today and take a look.. Cheerz Steve
  8. Hi Guys Last couple of days I've experienced an alarming power loss under hard acceleration. It happens particularly in 3rd and 4th gear when you boot it to the floor (eg: overtaking). All of a sudden the revs drop and it feels like I've taken my foot off the gas, lose all boost etc.. Take foot off the gas then reapply, and everything seems back to normal   It doesn't happen all the time, but I've experienced it twice tonight! Any ideas? Cheerz Steve PS. This is not just a crap excuse for my rubbish RR results :p (although maybe it has something to do with it...)
  9. Bad news Jay - happened to me a couple of years ago. I managed to remortgage with a self certification deal that isn't too expensive (part of Nationwide). Let me know if you want the details... Meanwhile, keep your chin up mate! Cheerz Steve
  10. UK TT Manual Max RWHP 210 bhp@5200rpm Max flywheel 269bhp Torque 284 ft/lb @ 4814 (v similar to Jaffa!) Mods: SE Boost Upgrade SE Maxflow Induction Exhaust and de-cat pipes Bunch of arse... :(

Cheers for reminding me Pete - only 100bhp out on my estimate then... :p :p :p Steve ;)
  12. Thanks Chris! :D :D :D
  13. Hi people I've not been able to get onto Andy P's website today. Could anyone check if they can access it at http://www.300zx.org.uk/ I've recently changed my DNS setup so I'm not sure if it's a problem at my end! Cheerz Steve
  14. Hi Justin As with all things, read the small print! Some warranties have so many "exclusions" it's almost impossible to make a claim. The companies that offer them are very mich like insurance firms - they will always try to avoid a claim if they can see a way out! steady eddy - Let us know how you get on - good luck mate! Cheerz Steve

I wiped my arse with mine :D :D Ahh - don't worry - still got it and it's mostly readable... Now where's that wallpaper scraper? Cheerz Steve

Ahh - that explains my crap results! I was getting worried for a moment... My Manual = RWBHP minus "stock wheels" minus "don't like the colour" minus "too loud" minus "ugly fekker owner" It's all starting to make sense now - cheers Stu! :D :D :D
  17. I've had mine for 7 years and the only time it has let me down was when the PTU went a few years back. Spoke to my Nissan dealer, told them the symptoms over the phone and the mechanic identified it immediately saying that it was "one of the few things that go on ZXs" A couple of hundred quid to replace it and no problems since :D :D :D Some people on here have had problems after the car has been badly modded (sometimes by a previous owner). As long as you are careful then you shouldn't buy a shed... It's like any used car - there are good and bad ones out there. Cheerz Steve BTW Where are you based? Maybe someone on here can give you a ride in their pride and joy? :D PS. I no longer recommend Nissan Main Dealers for 300ZX maintenance ;)
  18. Why spend money on back seats when passengers can sit back in the boot and relax eh Adam? :D :D :D
  19. UPDATE! The dwarf in the middle has generously offered a set of used alloy wheels as the caption competition prize! Give that man a hand!! :D :D :D Steve
  20. Pic from todays rolling road day. Captions please people... :D My effort: "Jock always had a chuckle at Little and Large" Cheerz Steve ;)
  21. 269bhp @ flywheel   Induction, exhaust, boost upgrade & decat   And it ran fine on the way to and from the RR... Bunch of arse! :( At least I might be in the running for the "most improved output" award at the next RR meet! Cheerz to everyone who came today. Great day out and a brilliant laugh! Steve

Hi Glynn Did you get my e-mail? Cheerz Steve
  23. Hi Chrissy I had them done by Longlife Exhausts a couple of months ago (http://www.exhausts.uk.com/). I had the full system done including cat replacement pipes. They look and sound great and they are custom made with a lifetime guarantee! Jock has had his done by the same people. Cost for me was just under £800 including decat. HTH Steve
  24. Sounds like these aren't exactly what you are looking for John but here you go... http://rides.300zx.co.uk/rides/429/Rear_1.jpg Cheerz Steve
