They weren't hugely expensive Jim. Not sure about the difficulty as it was done by my main dealer.. Like I said this was a while back on my first Zed (about 9 years ago  !) Steve

gluggy sounds
I had this a few years ago and I think that it was related to aircon filters. Try turning your aircon off and see if the noise stops.. HTH Steve

I Went To RR Day At THOR Today......
Great day and very good setup at Thor! I returned 291BHP and 314ft/lb at 14.6PSI. No detonation, just lots of smoke (rear oil seals) and lots of squealing (alternator belt adjuster is missing  ) Nice to meet everyone... I missed Matty and SRRAE though - D'oh! CheerZ Steve :D

How Reliable is the Z?
Only had a PTU failure, a dead battery and a knackered clutch (my fault!) in 7 years. Not my daily driver now but still very confident in it... Steve :D

Bolney 2004
Bolney is a small village just off the A23 towards Brighton Multimap They give us exclusive use of the village pub, cheap food and loads of parking. It was a great day last year and we had quite a few Zeds turn up. Open to all Jap cars tho.. There must have been 300 odd last year  CheerZ Steve

Where do I fit an oil pressure sender?
Vijay, where would I get one of these and what should I ask for exactly? (Halfords didn't have a clue  ) More importantly, do you think that this sender will still fit? I've attached a pic of the one me and Jaffa have. There is a 10mm (outer) diameter connector on the bottom, and the unit is 70mm high end to end (plus wires/crimps). There is also a 12mm adapter if required... Any further opinions appreciated :D CheerZ Steve

Where do I fit an oil pressure sender?
Oh FFS! Is there another point to plug a sender into up there Stu? I assumed that I was going to use the US sender position... Did you put an Oil Pressure Gauge on yours in the end mate? CheerZ Steve

Where do I fit an oil pressure sender?
Right, have done a search on removing the oil filter, but all the results relate to doing a complete oil change.. :( If I remove the filter, I assume I will get a flood of oil pouring out onto the floor. Is this the case? If so then I guess an oil change is in order as well  I have seen mention of an Oil Filter Removal Tool. Do I need one of these or is there a workaround? Many thanks Steve :)

Jack damage?

Jack damage?
Thanks for the info fellas. What a dickhead :slap: I'm about to fit an oil pressure sender above the oil filter (one of the reasons for jacking the car in the first place!) - would this immediately identify a problem caused by sump damage? Steve
