  1. Your car looks so much better Baz, all you need is the twin exhaust.... When are those arches going gloss? Vast improvement in yours as well Pete, can you put a smaller plate on the front, it looks to big with only 6 digits on it or is that just the angle?
  2. Looks nice, post some more pics when you collect it
  3. Top speed was substantially faster than the rest
  4. Easiest way to do a floor is with oversize rollers (bigger diameter so holds more paint) and a decent extension pole. Cut in the edges then pour the paint onto the floor and roll away, takes no time
  5. Did you determine if fuel is definately getting into the cylinders? Are your fuel feed and return lines on around the right way?
  6. Outstanding work mate, hell of a transformation and look really practical. Did you screed that floor or is the original with the bit where the wall was made good?
  7. Very cool cars IMO, retro looks now and pop up head lights as well, what more could a guy want... Last weekend we took the head off and changed the cam belt on my mates one, easiest engine ever to work on! Massive engine bay with a straight 6. The head gasket issue is easily sorted with ARP bolts and a better head gasket then you can turn the boost up. The issue Richard said about the rocker covers leaking we had as well, it was literally over an inch deep in oil in the plug wells. My mate said that can be sorted by using some RTV on both sides of the rocker gasket and a little on the threads of the bolts that hold a cover over the spark plugs. Only reason his leaked was he didn't have any RTV and had to get the engine running for a drift meet As Richard said, owners club members car is the way to go. I looked around before getting mine and they were a bunch of dogs
  8. Looks good, what's the first project going to be then?
  9. Agree with that mate, the selling template along with plenty of GOOD photos can't come soon enough. All packages must be sent recorded, tracking numbers issued the same day of posting and all payments by paypal not sent as a gift would help as well I believe unless ideally meeting in person to buy and sell. The template should be law, no compliance means no sale, thread deleted. As for the inter forum bickering/point scoring/put downs etc, I don't why it all started, it was before I first came here and I don't really care. What I do know is that it ruins both sites for everyone who is not involved. Imagine what new members think if they sign up and see one of these big threads of the committees of both sites slamming into each other on their first visit! Not cool at all. Neither new or long standing members want to be subjected to it constantly. IMO each site should aim to be the best it can be and be run how the the respective committees feel it should be run. It shouldn't be a case of trying to be better than each other and slagging off the decisions each other make, it doesn't achieve anything positive. The forums should bring a sense of community and camaraderie not make people feel like they have to pick a side! This wont happen until you guys ALL turn over a new leaf. I've met loads of people from the 300ZX scene and you have all been great but the way things are at present doesn't reflect that on the forum. This post is meant as constructive criticism/input, nothing else.
  10. Sounds ace, the standard system sounds pants and doesn't do the car any justice
  11. Since I got my Zed i've had things from: Steams, top man, prompt postage Ian: 300ZX_666, very pleasant, good coms Tudor, gave me a freebie and paid the postage Craig: ZX-TT, had loads of bits off Craig, always easy to deal with and happy to hold onto stuff until im in the area to collect. ****ing loads of freebies thrown in as well as over the phone help when i've been stuck:biggrin: SandyZ, good coms, very helpful and generous Kaza Steve via JeffTT, top service there JeffTT for an OEM part, ordered in the afternoon, arrived the next morning, can't fault that I'd like to give Baz a mention but he still hasn't found that bloody nose panel I wanted :whistling: Luckily the one I just got from Boldy should be waiting for me at home so he can have the shout instead:thumbup: very helpful, knowledgeable bloke is Allan Dark Merby, not bought anything from him but sorted out our naughty seller problem recently Jimmer, and Vods, not bought anything from them but both helped me out when i've needed advice and direction Good idea this thread, gets away from all the crap that's been clouding the forum recently:thumbup1:
  12. I thought i'd managed to bend mine when I took it out and saw it the first time:huh:
  13. It can't be that hard to get the bottle out and do it outside of the car then stick it back in and flush the pipes with hot water with the nozzles disconnected under the bonnet
  14. You can T in after the brake vacuum pipes one way valve
  15. They look great Daz, I like the extra effort of the material on the harness holes
  16. Have you ever relocated your smaller fuse box to the wheel arch? Is there any issue with water behind the arch liners?
  17. Let us know what you decide on, what it costs and how well it works, im really interested to know
  18. Would you be able to simplify and shorten the route doing it as a single line and it would be different anyway if you run it inside the car? Are there any issues doing this as one piece in regards to pedal feel? A few of us were having this conversation on zxclub a couple of days ago and there were varied views
  19. I recognise it from that front pic, saw it at Castle Coombe, very nice car:thumbup1: http://www.fastcar.co.uk/2012/07/18/japfest-2-the-evolution-2012-part-four/8/ http://www.fastcar.co.uk/2012/07/18/japfest-2-the-evolution-2012-part-four/8/
  20. Does anyone know which one I have? I've tried putting the number in google but it doesn't have pics or specify early or later style. It has 3 ridges on the pulley so need to get the right belt kit for my underdrive pulley
  21. Im interested to know what the steel for a bench costs you when you get it bud. Are you doing anything to soundproof the door that goes through into the house or does the Mrs like angle grinders?:shifty:
  22. Nice one Scum bag, I was just curious to see what I have as there are all the disconnected lines going to the back but there doesn't appear to be any blocked lines. Mine part number is 49110-43P00, can anyone confirm if that is the later style pump that jap.slapper and Mikey are referring to?
  23. Cheers bud only just seen this, don't suppose you could pull the part no off that NA pump could you? It's behind the pulley
