  5. Sorry to hear that Fella.. There appears to be a couple of geniuses on the forum living slightly North of us. Maybe worth paying their petrol for hand to fix? wish I could help but Im not that mechanically minded..
  6. Hi Mate, i think Janus has organised a mini meet on Sunday afternoon. are you about?

  8. When I joined the forum a couple or people contacted me and said it would be great to meet up... pretty sure we could get something going? My Missus likes the Zed more than she lets on and would definately come along if there was another female to natter with.. you know about how you apply make up whilst driving, that type of thing:devil:

  10. How do the Decats work when it comes to MOT time??
  11. Sounds like a challenge... could you pm me the url to look in more detail? I design layer 2 and 3 networks for corporates and sounds like an ideal back up platform? latency is no good for thin client apps (Citrix etc) but as a back up?? Cheers and appreciated...
  12. im easy, gets me out of decorating...
  13. Is satellite still not expensive? what latency are you talking about with it? Is that your MAC address you've published??
  14. Once they have got the licence though, the networks still have to get the network rolled out (just like 3G, still only limited land mass coverage) and as you say, planning etc makes it prohibitive which is why many of the networks are colaborating and sharing masts etc.. In the other countries you mention the government gets behind the build, this country the networks have to focus on making a profit. What I do find amusing is people complain about network coverage, but also complain about masts and wireless technologies.. I worked for O2 when the first trials were completed in Slough. I have to say LTE was very impressive, although there was no one else using the network.. Sounds like we will be right bores chewing the fat at the next meet?lmao..:D:D
  15. Yes Mate, got to be careful i dont breach any confidentiality but most companies (BT) have a good idea when they will update the exchanges and the cable companies pretty much know whether they will dig to new areas. The other thing to look at is the technologies they use to connect you to the cloud. contention ratios have gone because they were deemed unfair, but priority is still given to business or the back haul isnt as big as it should be.. Im with Virgin myself at the moment and the speed is significantly faster than I was getting through O2 and Sky in my area.. PM me your postcode and Ill look at the exchange area you are in and let you know, probably tomorrow..
  16. Id be up for next Sunday.. be good to put some faces to names..lol
  17. Hi Jeff, I work for a network, send me your postcode and Ill have a look and see if there are any options for you or try and find out when the exchange near you will be upgraded to fibre...
  18. Any of you local Guys up for a mini meet somewhere before the winter hits us??
  19. Thanks Jeff, It is spirited changes, 4000 revs + going up from 3rd to 4th...
  20. when I start to push the zed it always seems to crunch into 4th gear. All the other gears appear fine. Any thoughts of what it might be and were to start checking? Cheers
  21. ive heard of these new engines running on methane.. bullshit would be the perfect fuel and good for 600bhp as better than nitrous?
  22. Over the years Ive trained in Shotokan Karate and Taekwondo. Now im getting older ive struggled with both.. Started Lau Gar Kung fu earlier this year and love it, even looks at tai chi but but dint need to kick your own head height (which I cant do anymore). Great mixture of people. I like the classes rather than 1-2-1 because of the social side as well. My wife and kids train in Lau Gar as well, great fun..
  23. I saw a white one in Yarm on Sunday and a red one coming out of the industrial estate at eaglescliffe. Theres a couple of lads on here from Stockton and Thornaby with Zeds as well. Just got mine, so still learning and hoping to catch up with people at the meets..
