  1. Woo hoo!! That was relatively painless
  2. Sounds like the panel will have to come back off and I will have to do some rooting around.
  3. A couple of the wires had spade connectors. The rest had been soldered on. Couldn't get them off anyway.
  4. I had my radio fascia resprayed as it was marked. It also has the buttons for my fog light and front parking sensors next to the clock. These were wired in and we had to cut the wires to remove the panel. I planned to fit removable connectors in case the panel ever had to come off again but have only just got round to it. My fog light and sensors now don't work so I'm assuming the wires touched while the paint shop inadvertently left them bare. I was hoping its just a fuse but as its an aftermarket fitment its awkward. Nothing has blown in the fuse box in the engine bay or the one in the drivers footwell. ( how impossible is that one to get to?!!) any ideas where else I can look? Maybe one hidden behind the radio fascia? My mot is due next week so it needs sorting :scared:
  5. I will try to get there, just for the day. :-)
  6. My nephew went for work experience. He put down he was interested in computers so the school placed him in a nursery school!! Really useful!
  7. Unwittingly creating an army of mini Si's argggghhhh!!
  8. It's great when work experience actually turns out to be useful.
  9. I'm visiting my brother in London at the mo so yesterday we were a bit touristy. Went up n down the Thames on a boat and on the cable cars near the O2 arena
  10. I think like many people, my first post was saying how much I liked my car and the next one was moaning cos something had gone wrong!!
  11. I'm with admiral. I must admit they are good at getting money off other people, but even better at saving their own money. When I got rear ended they arranged a bodyshop of my own choice and a similar but better courtesy car. ( celica gt instead of my tsport) but obviously the person who hit me was with a different company. Use of a courtesy car is an added extra on your policy. Incidentally, they also charge for windscreen repairs. They know how to claw their money back.
  12. Hmm. My mx5 drives much better now too. I've had the brake caliper that was seized replaced :-) smells much better too!
  13. We have a Yamaha sr301. It's a couple of years old now but it's good, as long as its set up right
  14. Start of a slippery slope. Europe sticking their noses in yet again! Motorway speed limits should be going up not down.
  15. It's nice that you use some unusual flowers and foliage. Sets you apart fron the bog standard roses n chrysanthemums !
  16. Yeah, there were some pretty deep puddles on the motorway near oldham the other night. My mx5 is off the road at the mo so I was in Zebedee. Was pretty hairy but people were still charging past at silly speeds :-/
  17. Hello again! Hopefully you can get to some meets this year?
  18. Looking good! Shows what a big brute the gto is
  19. Happy Birthday jr!! Have a great day :-)
  20. That's nice. Looks great in that colour. I've also got an mx5 and I love it .
  21. Never had much luck going out on New Year's Eve. One year I bobbed to the loo but the queue was so long, by the time I got out I'd missed it! Once I had tickets to a trendy pub, but when we got there it was full and everywhere was ticket only. Finished up in some ropey hotel in our skimpy girlie outfits surrounded by pensioners. No New Years kisses given that year. Then there was the year my mate had a blazing row with her bf on the stroke of midnight. We ended up leaving and had to walk about 5 miles before we got a cab. And the year we went to very posh Alderley Edge (where footballers live!) my mates mum was supposed to pick us up but got drunk and didn't bother and left us stranded!! I'm off to my mums armed with a couple of bottles of sparkly wine :-)
  22. He's got loads of em! Here's a few
  23. He gave up about 8 months ago, but smoked 40+ a day. He switched to e cigarettes and has been vaping ever since. Amazing how the savings build up, even with the nice collection of vaporisers he's now got.
