I used to have a black xj6 with blacked out windows, I was driving through our town one night there was a bunch of 4 dickheads on BMX's when 1 of the little shits threw something at the car (it turned out to be an egg but I didnt know this at the time) Before I new what I was doing Id put the car in reverse and chased them on to a car park with my missus screaming at me to stop, I swung the car round and chased them across the car park, the went down a flight of 4 steps (those steps that are 1 flag wide and only about 6 inches high) at the end of the car park I pulled up at the top of the steps and began to gain my composure...when they started laughing and giving me the finger....I lost it again and put my foot down 2 of em rode away and the other 2 got caught up in each other and just had time to jump off their bikes before I got there...Their faces were a picture as I run my front wheels over their bikes and gently drove away. deserved everything they got IMO

Am I right in assuming If I want to upgrade all my front lights to HID I need 2 different kits for my jap 2+2? and its a H3 for dipped beam and H1 for full?? Thanks in advance

Why dont you get in touch with some of the Z forums over there, you could arrange to meet up with people on your way If you did need help at least you'd have knowledgeable people around you

I cant use the electric drivers seat, the mod will have to come off the drivers seat and go on the passenger seat as they are completely different colours, and the old drivers seat (the one im going to use the controls off) is cracked and would you believe covered in mould

I find myself in possesion of two electric drivers seats, How difficult is it to convert a passenger seat using the drivers electrics I know someone on here has done it, just wondered what degree of difficulty and has anyone done a 'how to'?

Had a similar problem a few years ago on another car, (not Z) and found it to be quite simple but a pain to find (took about 6 months) the give away is that when you turn the key slowly everythings fine...At the back of the ignition switch is a small black plastic thing with all the wires going in to it, It screws on the back of the key switch, now although the screws were tight on this there was too much clearance around them so when the key is turned the whole black plastic thing revolves slightly with it so the ignition isnt actually turning off its just moving round with the key. I solved it with areldite, may be a bit permenant for you though!!

Well I bought this about 18 months ago and ever since ive been trying to find someone who will take out the existing chip and solder the new socket i for me, Ive had absolutely no luck at all (admittedly ive not tried that hard!) can anyone on here either do the job for me or know of someone who would, Id obviously pay for the job and also postage of my ecu etc Thanks in advance

How can it be knocked round? its behind the glass and it doesn't look like its ever been apart. If need be is it straightforward to change for another, and if so will a jap one fit in the UK cluster? sorry for being a pain about this but as I understand they're pretty delicate items to start messing with

Could anyone tell me what the rev counter should read when the clock cluster is out of the car, bought a uk cluster a couple of weeks ago and have only just noticed the rev needle is past the redline (ie past the 9000rpm), is this right? does it need power to read 0rpm or is it fooked?? If this is the case is it difficult to change just the rev counter as ive got one that works in my jap spec cluster.
