How to get my car running.
surely if the upper and lower plenam are full of water id say there is every chance water has got into the cylinders you could try removing all the spark plugs and slowley hand cranking the engine over, if water starts comming out of the spark plug holes youll know theres water in the cylinders, if there is im no expert but you could tape a hose to a wet and dry vac and try and suck all the water out with that?? As i say no expert just my 2 cents

Should I return my car to standard?
Well tbh I've modded cars ever since I've been driving but ive always looked for the bog standard cars as you know there less likely to have been abused I'd put it back to stock, lower the price and sell the bits

In court tomorrow and after some advice
if your going to deny it make sure that there is NO WAY you did it and try and put this across without getting to a big discussion. Simple, short answers is the way as these people make a living trying to trip people up, For example i got clobered with a parking fine and when id tryed to pay it the person on the phone had to go and check some details and i got cut off it went to court and when asked why i hadnt payed i said " the person id spoken to said they were going upstairs and i got cut off" to which the lawyer said "all i can say is the office is on one floor so why would anyone be going upstairs" that was it i was screwed and got lumbered with a £300 fine because id made a simple mistake In all honesty for all the aggro its caused you may have been better just taking the fine as it always seems to be the little guys that get screwed with things like this

Are there any qualified sparky's on here.....electrics question???
Yeah if it was after the inspection it needs re doing especially if other sockets now don't work
-
from this to that....
LOL best way to learn, just crack on and hope it goes well!!!! It depends what your cutting but what can happen is that the hot metal flecks can weld them selves to the glass then rust and when they do that there damn near impossible to get off, I'll never forget the look on the Site mangers face when we accidentally sprayed his band new glass lift shaft in metal 2 days after it had been fitted!!! needless to say my company got a 3k invoice a few weeks later... whoops lol

Are there any qualified sparky's on here.....electrics question???
Learn something new every day, back when I did my books ovens were usually around 32amp and some as high as 60!!!
-
from this to that....
Gotta be careful using a grinder around all that exposed glass a few metal flecks on that windscreen and it'll need a new one!!

Are there any qualified sparky's on here.....electrics question???
No1, if the sparky came in and was happy enough with your old man's work to sign it off it should be fine, I wouldn't put my name to anything unless I was 100% happy with it because if there is a problem down the line its the sparks neck on the line not yours or your dad's. No2, if you remove the sockets and switches that your old man's put then yes it would need to be re tested as even though your removing wires and switches your disturbing the electrics that have been signed off and tested. Plus its all to easy to disturb other wires/earth's and switches when you're pulling out old wiring No3, not really sure what your asking here, I would run the 2 appliances to 2 separate 13amp fuses switches as firstly if they are both rested to 13amps then putting them both into 1 spur could overload it easily and secondly if there is a problem with the extractor causing the spur to trip then you would loose your oven and visa-versa thirdly 13amps seems small for an electric oven are you sure this is correct or is it a gas oven with electric hob? Hope this helps
