Omega Speedmaster Professional, Moonwatch.
That's a nice time piece, I did look briefly at the Tag Heuer to be honest. Just kept coming back to the Omega, it was on my bucket list I guess. Hey, after all of the attention and money you have lavished on your Zed, why not treat yourself?

Omega Speedmaster Professional, Moonwatch.
Thanks Rich, I love it. Just spent a delicate hour adjusting the bracelet, talk about craftsmanship or what, those small screws are exquisite. Even the jeweler's screwdriver is shaped so as to apply maximise purchase.

Omega Speedmaster Professional, Moonwatch.
Thanks Gaz, will do! Thanks Andrew. That photo brings it all back, I can see the images of the Module touching down from the downward facing camera now. Virtually out of fuel if memory serves me right! Brilliant era of space travel.

Omega Speedmaster Professional, Moonwatch.
Ever since I watched the exploration of the moon back in the sixties and seventies, I have always dreamt of owning an Omega Moonwatch. Well, several years later, (and I meen several) I have finally realised my dream, thanks to my bosses generosity in allowing me to choose a watch for my 25 years of dedicated service. I cannot thank them enough. I could not believe the attention to detail and quality throughout, even the packaging and presentation boxes are immaculate. Cannot wait to adjust the bracelet and get the thing up and running.

Timing(?) issue
As alluded to earlier, it is only safe to check the physical timing with a strobe when the engine is at "fully working" temperature and at idle. 15 btdc (Manual gearbox) This is when datascan will also indicate the 15 deg timing figure when at working temp' It is not unusual for the timing to advance once the rpm is increased as it is linked to running/engine conditions, you just need to establish the idle timing first. Will she not idle at say 800rpm when fully warm?

Misfire...Again.
I have recently solved a misfire problem, for some strange reason it turned out to be a faulty plug! Not saying that this is the case in your instance, it's just that I checked, cleaned, greased every damn connector under the sun to no avail. Could not believe a new set of plugs could make such a difference.

Wheel Change - Opinions
I am a big fan of more spoke area and a thinner rim profile personally. Similar to AndrewG's photoshop above.

What I've been up to over the last few weeks
So glad I managed to get the time off to meet up with you Pete, it was a real pleasure. I had not been to a dyno setup before, found it fascinating watching Greg take a 300zx to a fearsome level of power, breathtaking. He certainly knows his stuff, great chap. Hopefully meet up with you again Pete, hope you had a safe journey Sunday.

ECUTalk gauge analysis help
I know this is contrary to data, but what AAC reading do you get if you raise the base idle from the 650 to say 750-775?. I would be interested to see the change, if any.

What is your idle RPM with the yellow connector disconnected from the idle control valve?

May have popped by.

What did you do to your zed today?
Yes, the very same. Just watching over the space of a couple of hours, you could see the audible and visual changes evolving. Awesome.

What did you do to your zed today?
Took the zed for a trip over to Protune, spent most of the day with Pete, aka Dougal200 whilst his beloved Zed was being mapped. I have to say, the work being carried out was impressive to say the least. As for Pete, what a thoroughly nice chap, really knows his stuff and has a very nice Zed also. Great meeting you buddy. :thumbup1:
