350Z or S15 Sylvia?
Do you have any pics of it Alex? Is it the Skyline? After a quick search i can only find the Skyline 350GT........ It looks a bit yuk, but i'm guessing you can fit 350z front panels on and make it a SkyFifty ;) Oh and back to the original question, S15 or 350z.... 350z for me. 4 cylinder engines just dont do it for me these days, well unless they rev past 10,000 rpm that is :D:D

Le Mans 2006 TV Coverage
Is anyone other than Motors TV showing this? I have cable and they don't supply this channel. :headvswal Am I missing something here? who is watching it at the minute? All i got to watch is the freaking timing screen: http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/pages/chronos_gb.html But good old Alan McNish is in the lead so far in the Diesel Audi R10

The big drum bearing went on our Zanussi on thursday, you reckon yours will fit?? :p

why is it so hard to beat factory figures?
Yep..... just dip the clutch 200rpm before the rev limiter comes in, keep foot on gas. You got to be methodical and positive about it otherwize you'll grind the gears away :D This is quite hard on clutches and gearboxes, so make sure they are 100% before you do it. Having your clutch slip under maximum engine load will fry it in a VERY short time :( Thank god i bought a McLeud sintered iron racing clutch :p But as to why the testers are so quick, maybe that time was the best out of 100 runs in all different cars? Oh, and if they bust the car they just ask for a new one to go thrash :p

For anyone thinking about a V8 transplant
Yes they can, I've got a video somewhere of a Z32 with one of those 4.5L engines with twin tubs on it. :D:D Produces rediculus amounts of power as you can expect  I'll see if i can find it and upload it a bit later on. :hyper:

Decat tube advice....
As said above, i bought and fitted the exact same item from the same seller. Quality of the piece was very very impressive for the money, fitted perfectly, and there is a threadded hole for O2 sensors. Comes with all nuts, bolts, washers and gaskets too. Bargain.

le mans
We drove the Z there in 2003. Can honestly say it was the best holiday ever. We camped in BLUE section, near to porsche curves, right on the main road. Friday was the most memorable day of the lot, Steve (from london way??) was the ringmaster, with his 3 traffic cones he nicked, stopped the traffic in the middle of the road. To pass you had to do a burn out and blast off down the road. This went on from 10am to 10pm. Every car you could possible imagine 'took part' from TVR's to Reliant robins... Everybody was laughing for 12 hours solid. :D :D Absolutely top event. Can't wait to go back.

Photographers: Nikon D70S
Leigh, you cant go far wrong with a Nikon digital SLR mate..... maybe need another lens as that's only 3x. Remember to take loads of data storage (microdrive???) or take the laptop and dump each days pics on there (that's what I did in Le Mans a couple of years back) Now i got a Fuji S5500 which i'm happy with. It's not SLR but it looks like one :p and image quality is quite good thanks to the decent CCD in there. 6x optical zoom too. HTH Rob.

6 speed box
Yes it is, but it doesn't state whether it is h pattern (boringggggggg) or sequential :hyper:
-
6 speed box
How do you go about matching up a bellhousing? Will you modify a Z32 item? or get one specially cast and machined up? Oh, and tell me you are thinking of the sequential version. That will be the ultimate mod for a roadcar imho
-
6 speed box
The quaife 'box will probably be a dog engagement 6 speed sequential though....

N tercooler
You would get the same result. As the CO2 is released out of the presurised bottle, it expands and cools down. Thanks to my *ahem* experiments with our CO2 fire extinguishers at work, i can confirm dry ice is foooooooooooooking cold :D:D -200 and something??????

The main problem is getting the gears off the shafts. You will need some special tools to extract these. :headvswal
