are you actually getting any fluid expelled at the pump when u hold the pedal down i had a similar prob but it took ages for me to expel the air from the abs pump turned out it was the front circuit that was the prob i also fit a new master cylinder but when u do that u only need to bleed the abs pump and not the wheels

who uses who with classic insurance please
was insured with sure term last year but wouldn't renew the policy automatically because they have been taken over tried to offer me a new policy but wit dif company a lot dearer so changed and did a compare the meerkat.com and got a fully comp policy for a few quid more you don't incur a no claims bonus on a classic policy im told

i have a new master cylinder and 2 econ rear calipers to fit im jus not sure about bleeding the system when i fit the master cylinder now how to bleed the calipers (ithink) ps the calipers are brembo on the fronts if that makes a diff

dont think so the only replaced a pipe no pads so would only have had to bleed the system

never actuall got the new pads inn thought id bleed first to solve the spongy pedal

they were ok till I came to change some pads then the pro arose i have brakes but the pedal varies from day to day somtimes it travels a bit other times its good totally miffed cant understand it espescially the master cylinder bit where the fluid dont drop

posted this question before but here goes cant seem to bleed the system doing it as per manual but got a prob have assistant in car to press pedal does this and i open correct nipple fluid spurts out pedal goes down close nipple assistant takes foot off pedal pumps again and holds down open nipple nothing comes out and no fluid has left the master cylinder this can happen a doz times pedal soft assistant takes foot off pedal and gets out still same amount of fluid in master cylinder never drops after 12 goes this is the funny thing get back in car after say 10 mins pedal as hard as a rock brakes normal no pumping totally mistified can some one help ive 2 rear calipers to fit and a new master cylinder reluctant to start job till i can sort this out the more u use the pedal on a journey the better it gets ps never had this prob till mot garage fit a new front nearside short pipe not been same since dont want to go back to them there usless

can i put decats on my standard system it has a mongoose exhaust on from the cats back if so whats the best make to use and will i have to swap them back for the mot

still having a prob with my brakes sometimes the pedal travels half way other times its normal other times its really solid goes soft when car has been stood or traveling for a while stiffens as u use it not loosing any fluid from calipers or master cylinder in fact there really diff to bleed if u press the pedal and open the bleed nipple you get 1 loy of fluid then second time nothing at all and fluid in master cylinder stays the same if u close the bleed nipple an leave it to gravity all goes back to normal really puzzled
