  1. phone BT (or whoever) they can do a call barring service where you have to enter a code or something to make calls, my mum used to have this years and years ago to stop me running up huge bills :) she works for BT.
  2. been fairly lucky with mine, the rear of the sills has had work done before but nothing major :
  3. yeah i often do wonder how many imports have been clocked, not so much if they are fresh imports, the japanese are big on public transport and they maintain their cars maticulously, but ones that have been here for a while, i seriously doubt the mileage of my own zed, i mean, how can people NOT keep the mot's for a car?? surely if it's been in the country 10 years or whatever, then there should be 10 years of mots!!!!
  4. no no no, it was imported in 98 with 28k on it (car is a 93) i had every mot from 28k up until the most recent one with 73k, i bought the car with 60k on it, but i had the import doc and all the previous mot's right back to 28k :D
  5. my mr2 (that i just swapped for the zed) had a genuine 73k on the clock, i bought it with 60k on the clock, had every MOT since it was imported, had the import document to verify mileage, i was only the second UK owner as well, i got the zed with 2 mots lol :( 105k on the clock, apparently in km's but who knows :(
  6. haha, this is a phrase that i also cannot bloody stand, first to view will buy!!! so nobodys viewed it then???? IT'S STILL FOR SALE!!!!!
  7. yeah seen that one, that went up the same day i got my new zed, looks to be in fair condition :thumbup1:
  8. yeah 100k is a bit high, not so bad if you've put those miles there yourself i suppose.
  9. what are the zeds like for higher mileage??
  10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1991-Nissan-300-ZX-Twin-Turbo-/180576283917?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a0b2f6d0d#ht_1052wt_1139 this has been on ebay for months now, seems a really fair price too, is there something wrong with it??? have i missed something on the advert???
  11. yeah deffo a good price, after reading through a write up about it, it is very labour intensive :(
  12. well, i'd be a fair bit on petrol from Dundee to Doncaster, but if the price was right, plus, if it only took a day :)
  13. i'd have to pretty much do it in my driveway :(
  14. i wouldn't mind giving it a go, just the thought of it's a bit daunting since i've never done it before, and knowing my luck, i'd end up being stuck without car for weeks (it's my daily driver) due to getting stuck with bits :) i'll keep in touch though mate, can deffo see me taking you up on this within the next few months :)
  15. could be very interested, there is a whole package on ebay at the moment, so how much is 3 days labour then?? i assume you'd give me a fixed price beforehand, i'm only up in Dundee so not the end of the earth away, plus i have mates in Glasgow so i could crash there for a few days :D
  16. ooof, i better get saving!!! the car needs some bodywork done but i think i'm just gonna go for the manual conversion first, get it out the way then i can think about the body work :)
  17. thanks for that mate, i've searched extensively on here and found looooads of good write up etc.......how much did the guy charge if you don't mind me asking??? i just (not wanting to insult any traders on here) £1200 is a bit steep :( might just give it a go myself, i'll see what the outcome of this thread is lol :)
  18. used to be an F1 team called bennetton, i thought it was a driver called 'Ben Elton' :( :(
  19. hey folks, just wondering about prices for a 'drive in drive out' manual conversion in Scotland, is there any specialists etc...i wouldn't actually mind buying the parts and doing it myself, could it be done over a weekend etc??? i do like the auto to drive, but not having full control of the gears has started to wear thin very quickly :( i did see somewhere that did it down south but it was £1200 or something like that, i would deffo prefer a conversion than looking for another manual 300, with the exception of a few blemishes i've managed to pick up a really decent car, the motor seems really well looked after etc...anyway, as mentioned above, any specialist in Scotland and could i do a manual conversion myself, thanks, Ryan :)
  20. tough shit, everybody totally slams junkies, just because she had money made her no different from any other junky, of course it's sad, but she really didn't do herself any favours, as said in an earlier post, DON'T DO DRUGS, simple as that.
  21. not me but nice to see people so close :)
  22. get some pics up for us matey :thumbup1: (no of the Fiat :tongue_smilie:)
  23. aye, sell the Fiat!!
  24. cool man, will give you a shout, my brother reckons he can fix the bumper, failing that i'll have yours, any idea what the paint code is?? looking closely it looks like a metallic/mica black :(
  25. cheers man, kinda wondering why i never got rid of it sooner, good cars but soooo harsh on the road, even on the standard wheels it's not brilliant :)
