  1. hahaha, waaaay!!!! i posted this same link on another forum earlier :) pure brilliant!!!
  2. less backpressure, faster turbo spool up, basically, you're removing a huge lump of metal out of the exhaust system, not sure how it works with UK cars, but usually pre 1995 imports don't need any cats.
  3. will do that just now :)
  4. done that yesterday, the vehicle is now taxed, the point i'm trying to make, if it's not moved in 18 months, where (and how) did he get it MOT'd??? there's no way it would pass an mot just now,
  5. haha, i might just do that :D
  6. ach, i would ask him, if he woul answer his door, it's a long story over a fence dispute between my landlord(who used to live here) and the guy who won't move his van, long story short, he won't move it, even when the police have asked him, the thing that gets me is, it's not moved in the 7 months i've been here, and the neighbours say over 18 months or something, so how coupld he have mot'd it?? i reckon he knows a guy selling them,
  7. he has no tax disc on it, i just checked it online.
  8. how is it powered??? do you have a charger hooked up to it all the time?? do you have to turn this on seperatly from the car??? or is there something that turns it on with the ignition??? what cables do you need to run ecu talk??? very nice idea mate :)
  9. hi guys, not sure if anyone will be able to give me an answer here, one of my neighbours has a van, it's been parked in an awkward place since i moved in 7 months ago, (rather than in his bloody driveway) the tax ran out at the end of the month, the other neighbours say that the van hasn't moved in about a year and a half, so i checked the status of it again today, and he's somehow managed to tax it!!!!!!! surely the MOTt has run out?? how do enquire about a dodgy MOT???? something is deffo not right here!!!!
  10. yeah, i'm wanting to do a manual conversion at some point, hopefully it lasts until then, i can't understand why people neglect things like that :(
  11. yeah thinking bout doing some of these mods now, i really didn't think 400 would feel that much different, would the autobox be fine with these mods?? (intake, exhaust, decats, intercoolers...possible raised the boost to around 14psi)
  12. i'm 28, not using any NCB on my classic policy, £287 full comp :D
  13. still!! 4.7 is quick!!!!
  14. that's pretty impressive!!!!! 4.7 0-60 is hugely quick for such a heavy car!!!
  15. how does 400bhp compare to a standard car?? is it that much of a difference??
  16. haha, yeah i know how it works man, i was wondering if the pressure at the intake could be measured seperatley, but it can't :(
  17. ah i see, so if one is down, you would know because overall boost is decreased, i guess that makes sense, cheers :)
  18. cool, so say (sorry if i'm getting on anyones nerves :( ) you had air filter, exhaust, decats (or divorced downpipes) bigger intercooler and chipped ECU, what would be the problem with raising the boost slightly???
  19. why would is doing it the first way so bad?? (again, just out of curiosity, i#m not planning on modding mine) that sounds like just basic bolt on mods, other than the raised boost. surely if you kept the boost down it'd be ok?? oh, and got better smic's?
  20. awesome, very informative mate, thanks for that :) what's needed for around 400bhp out of interest??
  21. so if one turbo is putting out 7psi, and the other 14psi, there's no way to tell?? i understand that the balance bar equalizes it at the plenum anyway, thanks for the replies, i'm just being curios as i'm new to the zeds, i like to learn :)
  22. wow, that's pretty impressive!!! i don't think people realise how important the fueling is, prime example being that idiot off the mr2 owners club, he was warned time and time again, he seemed to think it was all about the boost and that forged pistons were designed to take the abuse :)
  23. yeah, they would measure the actual psi the turbos were producing, rather than the psi at the plenum, i understand this, that's not what i mean lol, ok, so there's no way to measure pressure at the plenums seperately due to the balance bar :(
