  1. How to Test O2 Sensors out of the car [video=youtube_share;QM2jO0_Cah0]
  2. its possible but it would have to be a Shit load of oil to bk track that way .. but then again when the car is driving most of the time its on positive intake pressure so it would be blowing out not bk
  3. yes .. just drop them both and check please get some Pics of the turbo housings where the turbine is and the amount of oil around when we pop over we can do all the other checks from top
  4. if there has been any Melting of the piston/Rings ... u can see evidence on the under side of the piston and damage to the boars Most of the time
  5. it is something i can do ... time scale is the problem ... i dont think im going to be free for the next few weeks at least Rich ... Noel is going to speak to u with time permitting me and him will pop over and take a look - - - Updated - - - all so the garage right ?
  6. it is something i can do ... time scale is the problem ... i dont think im going to be free for the next few weeks at least
  7. Znut ... the Comp test has come bk at 180 across all cylinders .. kinda Rules out .. but for peace of mind get one of these hook it up to your laptop and then u can check the bores and pistons for any damage http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7mm-Inspection-Camera-Scope-USB-Digital-Endoscope-Borescope-Waterproof-5M-TE16-/261158714785?pt=UK_BOI_Medical_Lab_Equipment_Medical_Equipment_Instruments_ET&hash=item3cce45bda1
  8. only you can make the choice m8 if your going to replace any turbos at this point i would get the other set u have refurbish i know its more £££ but its the sensible way to go m8 the Passenger turbo is Fed from the exhaust gas that side but supplys the boost to the drivers side Vis,Vers so if your drivers side is gone ... Really u should be seeing oil or carbon build up on the Inlets/Cylinders of the Passenger side this can all so pass Oil/smoke on that side exhaust too best thing to do is Drop the exhaust off the down pipes and see witch one has loads of oil in it
  9. Strange because I did in post 3 . standard setup can support 380 to 450
  10. ok with the amount of oil on the plug would say there is a leak from cam cover .. but im not ruling out that oil can get in to the cylinders from the tub .. Normally when the engine is ingesting/burning oil from some place IE Valves/turbo .. its normally black soot carbon crap and may be a little wet on the pistons its self like in your new pics ... of the plugs Testing turbos and Seals .. there isnt one with out taking the hole unit apart Inspecting each part and then Running the turbo on a bench test rig the only thing you can do is just see how much Lateral movement there is on the shaft ( Wobble ) ... this can only be done with Exhaust down pipe off or the front intake pipe .. but all so at that point you would see if there was any Oil Leaks too as it would be shown by Wet oil all over the exhaust outlet most of the time Removing turbos Passenger side is quit easy to do with engine in place Drivers side can be done but but2>3 times as long ... at the point u may have a few problems with the engine IE Cam cover oil leaks it may be easier to do with engine out but depends on who is doing the job if it was your self .. Taking all the plenum off will gain loads of space to get the tubs out plus u can sort the cam covers too
  11. was that Oil wet or Fuel wet ? how does it smell ?
  12. Standard car setup besides air filter and decat .. normally around 380>450 @ flywheel to what Noz has been doing on some of the cars getting more power injectors/tubs/pipe work/ exhaust system .. the list goes on
  13. you can get wobble wheel lock nuts to m8 .. just use all the Nuts that was supplied and then find your self some locks to fit
  14. good isnt it .. i just ordered something on monday from cpz .. first thing this morning its at my door
  15. mini atx MB ... Open HD ...open PSU all sat on top of Full size Mother board and Bridge rectifier oh and a few other random Circuit boards thrown in for good looks its funny i watch a low budget syfi film the other day and the cot-pit of the ship was full of Keyboards and Random Clutch plate
  16. oh and forgot to say this would all so be your problem with dropping a cylinder ... the coilpack/plug will be grounding out
  17. those pics of the plugs with oil on them ... doesn't look like its oil in the cylinders but more in the plug hole with that much oil run off the plug ... oil in the cylinders that's unburnt would have the Spark end cap covered in wet oil but it isn't that leads me to believe that the cam cover is leaking and is quit common for that as you have said all intake pipe work looks clean and free from oil and the cylinders having good comp it defo points to more of the turbo seal on the exhaust side that's fail now i know the Tubs and engine was working fine before to what i have been told and i know Jeff has selected the turbos that Least Shaft movement but as anyone knows these are all 2nd hand items and things do go wrong my advice is the 2 tubs u have go get them rebuilt with new parts and get them fitted as really this should of been done to start with
  18. you can replace the oil Seal without removing the holder m8 ... just dont damage the face of where the oil seal meets
  19. ok ... but like u said its a sweeping statement ... and there is a load of factors but all so at the point we are talking about the tubs he has on the 300zx about 4k would be
  20. so taking in to account all the opposite to what u posted Ie Standard size intercoolers pipe work exhaust manifolds then yes the boost/spool time will be higher than if he had all the upgrades and no leaks but as to what i posted up was a good guess to where about it should be unknowing his engine spec like your guess he has all of them like u/me/others
  21. Jaffa ... Disagree with who ?
  22. 4000rpm is about right for max spool/boost on most aftermarket tubs ...
  23. use your foot .. then u can watch the RPM go up and down .. :)
