  1. My car has arrived!!! :) I am looking for a nice front bumper and some nice wheels, can anyone help me out? :)
  2. True, but high milers with full history are always available...they usually clean up ok :)
  3. Certainly will do mate soon as i get home as im teaching a class at the moment :)
  4. update!! I get my car in two weeks :) And I'm putting it on the rolling road at work on the 9th of June so will see how many ponies it still posesses!!! :D Also, anyone who has a love for old e30 bmws that are in good condition give me a nudge as I have one that I'd like to sell/swap for some nice zx parts........ That's right, a whole car just for some parts!! :)
  5. I can vouch for xc90s as a good diesel vehicle with 7 seats...... I worked at a Volvo specialist for 5 years, only ever had one come in faulty and that was down to a busted intercooler. Plus they tank on forever if looked after.... If that helps :) Wayne.
  6. p.s. thanks for all the welcome messages guys :)
  7. Hi, it hasnt been answered yet no, ok: i had the 350z and an s70R two years ago, started seeing a girl from manchester and with all the travelling decided a diesel would be a better option, so got a fabia vrs, and sold the volvo too. that lasted a month as it was the king of understeering, so i pushed the boat out and got a mk5 r32 which was ace! except for electrical issues that eventually got me so annoyed that i changed again, now to a 118d m sport bmw. as the 1 series is a good car i dont really want to get rid of it but wanted a toy at the same time, so i have hopefully satisfied this by having an R6, this 300zx N/A, and an e30 3 series from 1990. If not then next year ill be chopping the 1 series in for another 350z :D
  8. It is a N/A that im looking at and i probably should have been a bit more specific with my statement. I loved the 350z as an allround car, wasnt the fastest car ive had but the way it handled and the way it sounded were second to none in my opinion, so what im hoping is that with the right exhaust i can get a similar sound, and im hoping the fact that the N/A im looking at is standard that it may have similar handling characteristics..... the test drive confirmed that irt wasnt as fast as the 350 but mine had a few tricky bits done to it on the engine. :)
  9. im gonna get the job priced up with all the other little bits getting done at the same time yeah, if he'll do that then im happy. :)
  10. a little light to be shed on this subject, turns out the car had a documented speedo change as the last mot done in 2010 shows a mileage of 1443, so i need to pop up and see if the advertised 78000 is actually 7800....... hoping thats the case as then its about right mileage of 110000 miles ish.....? so maybe not as bad as i first thought :)
  11. Ronco, just trying to clear up the mileage with regards to cambelts now, did you have the car in 2005 when it had a new cambelt? and if so, what was the mileage please?? transpires its had a speedo change and that the 78000 may actually be 7800 as the last mot mileage was 1443 miles, thats what it says on the mot cert...........
  12. very true, it looks ok and at the moment all im thinking is asking for a cambelt to be done as i cant verify how much mileage the belt has done and unless im mistaken they are due every 60k??
  13. very true point, id be happy with a reduction in price to relate to the unknown mileage to be honest as the car looks ok to me.... :) thanks for the advice guys :)
  14. yeah, i agree with this view also, just if its valued at 78k, its gotta be worth less with unknown mileage....... think ill have to look at reducing purchase price slightly, then buying a tt engine and box to build and put in it, otherwise i just put my money into a 350 again..... dilema!! :)
  15. yeah there is that aspect of it, my only gripe now is the price really as i'd happily pay £2495 for a low mileage genuine car, but for a clocked one?? it could have done 9,000,000 miles for all i or any future buyers know.... :( could just drop a tt in it in a year i suppose but then its still a lot of money for a project......dilema :(
  16. Well, i sure wish i'd joined this forum before putting a deposit on this car :( Paper work appears to back up the mileage so theres maybe been some fiddling done on it :( gutted. Wayne. Car still looks good though but dont think its really worth 2495 if its not a genuine car.......
  17. SandyZ, i had a look over the forum, found some rather unpleasant new, according to a thread started by ronco, this car has been CLOCKED :O Im just working out what to do about this as i've obviously put a deposit down on what i thought was a legitimate nice mileage z at £2495 What was the mmileage on the car when you sold it to the guy in Lytham please? the car looks in good condition, im just concerned about the purchase price and obviously the resale value as i wouldn't lie about the mileage discrepency, meaning it'll basically be worth sweet FA...... It would just help me with discussions if i have more info on the previous mileages of the vehicle..... Thanks Wayne.
  18. Ah some previous owners!! Good! So I bought a goodun then? :)
  19. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I'll certainly be getting to as many shows as I can over the summer once I know when they are :) and, ill get some pictures up soon as i can of it :) Wayne.
  20. jolting...? Man I gotta start proof reading.... Ha ha Think it was meant to be 'I'll do my' best to get to the next one :D
  21. Well jolting best to get to the next one :) Thanks for letting me know. Wayne.
  22. Im teaching tomorrow night otherwise I'd have popped along just to see that soft top, it looks awesome!!
