People will tell you the milage their's failed at. Find the highest milage, lowest milage failure and got for the middle (median) orfind as many people who have had their's fail, add them up and divide by the number people (mean) or find the most commen milage turbo failue (mode). You'll get 3 different answers - which will you go by ?? My theory on the car i just bought - treat it well and i should be ok. Nothing else i can do, and worrying about it certaily wont help..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would imagine, from my 200sx knowledge, that it is entirely dependant on how well its been serviced, how much thrashing its had, what boost they've run at, and if they have been allowed to cool down before turning the engine off. Hope its a lot more that 60k miles as mine has just reached this !!! Dai

My Jap import is into is second day on the road. Been really warm down here in South wales today, and my car is running fine, temp seems normal etc. BUT is sounds like it has an electric fan running all the time. Its been in the garage for 2 house, and i started it again, and the noist was still there ? Is the an elec fan as well as the viscous belt driven one?

Right, got my Zed import, with no manual for the interior stuff. So, how does it all work ? I assume by pressing AUTO its the air con or climate con, and you set to the temo you want. What does recon and economy do. i assume recon stops external air entering. what is the econ button ?? Also, how do i just get hot air to blow ??? cheers Dai

Not a problem, just after some info. Collected my 1991 TT import on Tuesday and have fallen instantly in love :bow: :bow: Its has many trick bits on it :hyper: one of which is the boost gauge. Its an aftermarket one - MINES ??? been told this is a good one? It reads in kg/cm though, so what is the converion to psi ?? cheers Dai

i assume they are very expensive, and you have to be in the trade, though i'm not sure on the "being in the trade" bit. They cover you for any car to be insured and taxed, so cant be cheap or every tom dick and harry would have them!! :smash:

Hi there all ! Can anyone help. I have to pick up my import Zed in 3 weeks time and can get hold of a set trade plates if i want them. However, have been told that they dont cover import cars, as they have not been registered in this country with the DVLA ?? anyone shed some light...... !!! :)

Is it ok to tow a Zed with all 4 wheels on the ground, ie on an A frame attached to the chasis? or will it damage anythin ie diff, HICAS? cheers Dai
