  1. hi blackpool-z32, be interesting to hear how the 300zx compares to your 350z and see if all the topgear races between the two (where the 350z allways gets ruined)are true:cool3:
  2. with all the plugs out and the throtal open the engine will spin over with no effort, its quicker and wont kill your battery.
  3. Im guessing he's never been in a school.
  4. Karnt cee wat tha prblam is heer, nise car, stopp beein narsty:blink:
  5. Hi, thanks but im just going by the plug numbers quoted on the Youtube link posted by dannzx at the top of the post. PFR6B-11 for N/A PFR6B-11B for TT
  6. Looked on ebay and PFR6B-11 listed but not for N/A 300zx, lists Ford Scorpio and Transit. Are these plugs for 300zx N/A? I want to service my car.
  7. Does the N/A engine use the same plugs as the turbo engine ?
  8. Personly i'd use the pipe pliers if it involves any tight or sharp bends to avoid kinking. I have none to lend though, sorry.
  9. Picture it, its a dark night pissing down with rain, your miles from nowhere with the misses in the car and your fan belt lets go. Luck has it you have a spare, whilst fitting it your soaking wet, the misses wont stop moaning then the spanner slips off the adjuster bolt and you take 3 knuckles off and drop the spanner somewhere on the road, you scream with anger and as you look up all you see is you.:cursing:
  10. This is so common looking back at previous posts. What happens is the door and boot locks sieze up through lack of use. ie fob is used to lock and unlock the car. I also had this problem, as already suggested WD40 and some key wiggling, it can take a while but i'll bet this is the problem. Dont force the key to much and break it, then you will have a problem.
  11. Dont want to state the obvious here but it sounds like a bit of lubrication is needed on all moving parts. Electrics seem to be working.
  12. Ive been saving up for a nice set of alloys for my car, but now i know if i take the original wheels off, paint them pink, sell em, i'll be able to get some nice alloys plus tyres and still have enough change for a new exhaust:w00t:
  13. Never heard of cobalt green before i bought mine, beautiful colour though.
  14. I had this problem, and loads of other problems when i bought my car a few weeks back, all the problems were caused by the roof drainpipe leeking water over the fusebox in the drivers footwell. Check the fusebox for water before spending any money.:boat:
  15. Has anyone got a Japspeed system fitted, seen them on ebay before and they sound so sweet. Pretty cheap to, but how does it perform ?
  16. Ah, nice one, Touch up time.
  17. Thanks for the info everyone, think i'll leave things well alone, wont be often i'll be doing over 112 mph, think i'll just make it a bit quicker from 0 to 112. First step taken today, fitted a couple of K N filters, not a huge difference in performance but she does fly. Exhaust next i think. I watched wheeler dealer the other night and they were doing up a scoobie wrx, they fitted a K N filter and a performance exhaust and the mods made the performance worse then standard, but alot better after a new chip and a rolling road tune up. Can fitting an after market performance exhaust spoil the performance on my ZX ? Most cars seem to have them.
  18. Has anyone fitted the K N replacment airfilters (the ones that fit the original airbox)to there car, and was there much improvment in performance over the standard type.
  19. So if i buy a set of clocks off a UK spec scrapper and fit them this will de-restrict my car ? What is it a chip in the clock or something.
  20. Ah, thanks, i thought it might be something a bit more complicated than just removing that plastic block from under the gas pedal:whistling:
  21. How do you de-restrict an imported car, out of interest.
  22. Hi, are all Jap imports restricted to 112mph, and how were the cars restricted. The speedo in my car only goes to 120mph, yet i,ve seen other N/A models with 180mph.
  23. WOW, never seen them door mirrors before. NICE:thumbup1:
  24. Hi mate welcome. I know what you mean, just joined myself and had nothing but open arms and good advice. I've also got a N/A auto, got it 2 weeks ago, well pleased. I saw a car the same colour as yours but with a dark red leather interior, best looking 300zx i've ever seen.
  25. Yeah sounds familier, My clock and heater setting allways stayed on. Put your head down into the footwell, see if you can hear anything, mine was fizzing, electric and water:scared: Seriously though your car could go up in flames.
