Hi, i'm fitting my new exhaust system tomorrow so had a look under the car today and noticed that the decats dont have the fittings for the 2nd set of sensors (after the cats)I'm guessing the car will run ok without these fitted? and there will be no warning lights permanently on?

Just out of interest, has anyone fitted an exhaust to a ZX with just a decent jack and axle stands. Was thinking of taking it to someone and getting it fitted, but dont like the thought of a spotty 17 year old hanging off spanners under my car at kwik fit:no: I,ve fitted loads of exhausts before but the ZX has 2 and it is a bit of a heavy lump.

Lets face it, if we were all worried about MPG we would'nt own cars with 3000cc's, 6 cyl and 24 valves would we, but saying that my N/A auto does about the same MPG as our Mondeo 1800.

Cheers got new head light bulbs from fleabay, oil filters Halfords dont even list, strange they list 350z and even the 1970's 260z.

Hi, I know Halfords is a bit expensive and dont stock much if anything for our cars (could'nt even get a headlight bulb or oil filter) but i needed to do a bit of bodywork touching up and they mixed some paint up for me (Colbalt green pearl metalic) and it was absolutly spot on, came out much better than expected, well pleased.

AHH, so that makes my 95 N/A a j spec then, cheers guys.

Sorry if its been asked a milllion times before, but being a newbie i dont know what "J spec" means in 300zx lingo. could anyone tell me as i keep hearing "j spec " this and that ect..... Thanks.

I was toying with the idea of a spoiler, but i'm starting to think it looks better without one, z32bolt the first picture you put up looks awsome from the rear, but dont get me wrong still very nice.

Well at the end of the day its your car, your choice, its a personal thing, and thats what gives our cars character, so im sure you'll make the right decision by yourself, which by the way is obviously the 1st ones:biggrin:

Looks much better, but thoughs orange side repeaters have got to be changed to clear ones, they dont go with the black or the other lights, other than that 100% better.

Thought early cars had seat belts on the doors and later cars had the seat belts on the B post no matter where it came from, Your car could be an import and someones put uk spec parts on it ?

I suppose another good thing about a 2nd hand engine is you dont have to run it in, that can be a bit frustrating, on a duel carrageway and an astra van cuts you up, shoots off and your limited to 3000 revs for 1500 miles:cursing:

I'm only guessing here but maybe a 2nd hand engine for £500 and keeping fingers crossed is a hell of a lot cheaper than an engine rebuild, i could'nt imagine what a complete engine rebuild would cost someone on here could tell us.

My wife never forgave me for selling my first one, now i've got another and even better one she has'nt used her car for 2 weeks now.

My best tip, dont bother, 5 paying in windows 1 paying out, you do the math:crying:
