I had to let the mrs drive one evening because i'd had a few. We were stopped at a small roundabout and she was hesitating. GO! GO! GO! I shouted. Octavia isn't bad either, didn't they have a gti version? top gear loved it, thats all I remember.. golf deisel I think would be a safe bet for your mate :duffer: But the cougar I think would be a "sportier" option, quite cheap and reliable, and..."sporty!"

while I was replacing the rear stock speakers yesterday I had the boot and all its trimmings taken apart, and decided to get rid of those annoying cardboard peices that the carpet sit on. But it's very noisy now! I have a plan to buy one of those soundproof carpet thingies which are self adhesive and you just cut around. So If I chuck out the excuse for a spare wheel aswell , lay the fabric and bolt my bass tube directly to the floor, i'll kill two birds with the one stone.Anyone tried this?

I've got two stereo facias to play around with at the moment,so If I end up with a spare BOSE logo'd panel which was the original fit for the tt's, you can have it bud, may take a few weeks though. If you're in a panic, i think the z-centre sells a blank replacement aswell :)

top gears review of the new MX 5 reminded me of something I meant to do ages ago. In fairness some of these new little roadsters which are aimed at young professionals are quite good but a bit girly really :o Audi tt for me.

Wasn't the best but still enjoyable as always. Why didn't JC go for a 300zx for his ps2/real track escapade :( would've been pretty cool. Honda's NSX is still up there in the 90's jap supercar stakes though, so respect due. :bow: And good to see him Knocking BMW again, He's right though for once, that 1 series is the most pointless car ever...........................in fact any BMw is pointless
