  1. I am guessing as its only 10mm long, you may struggle to find threaded stand offs ? Does it need to be made from metal ? if not a longer bolt and these could do: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270771648090
  2. OT but to clarify, I presume the exhaust in the clip is the S/S one you had for sale, or have you got the custom one fitted now ?
  3. Love it, and car is sounding sweet too, perhaps I should have held out :p :)
  4. Nice wagon ... dunno why but the picture instantly bought to mind an image of you rolling it into the garage, setting to work with some oxy acetylene, and rolling out modified A-team stylee
  5. I can see what Yowser is getting at, its quite subtle but does look better IMO. Personally, I still haven't seen anything that I think looks as nice as the Tommy Kairai M30Z one though ;)
  6. I got some cobalt drills for drilling out the sheered studs when installing the new downpipes, got mine from UKdrills.com via ebay, they worked very well and weren't expensive either, Just keep them lubed and ran slow (I was using a B&D mains power drill) and they cut through well :)
  7. Ooops missed this, sorry Jaffa ;) Looking well tasty :tt1:
  8. But thats relative really, dunno how Janus sees it, but for me that would be a large chunk of cash. Yep for a car its not a large amount, but tbh I have bought £300 bangers that have been trouble free for a year or so. Its not so much the amount spent, as the dealers apparent unwillingness to agree to resolving the issue amicably thats the issue here I think ...
  9. Just seen this, sorry to hear of your probs. :( Keep at it, sounds like you are doing it all properly, so hopefully they won't have a leg to stand on, keep us updated with progress.
  10. Many thanks to Rob for the battery, Baz for the battery clamp, and Andy for the plastic tray. I now have the correct new battery and all fixed in place as Mr Nissan intended :) Now as long as I don't have any more issues, I'll attempt to save up once again to get my boot sprayed :surrender::lol:
  11. Habby birfday :) :pint:
  12. Just to add to Vods thorough instructions: When removing the screw thats behind the cover on the pillar on the outside, be careful not to drop that screw down the channel ! I used some blu-tack in the socket to help keep hold of it. I believe both 16cm and 17cm speakers will fit, but not 100% sure ...
  13. Mine is a series 4 though, so no quick clock swap option I believe ?
  14. So where/what are the good ones Groover ? as I will want to do mine soon ;)
  15. I think insurance is very specific tbh so whats good for one may not suit another ... but our family car is insured with Privilege very competatively, give them a call to see how they work out for her :)
  16. Manuals aren't that hard to come by, but there are more Auto's around by far. I would say stick to your guns and hold out for the right car, forget mileage as its largly irrelevant given how easy it is to clock. The biggest factors (in my opinion) is condition and receipts to prove any claims of work carried out. Buying off the forums is a good bet, as you can usually trace at least some of the history. good luck with your search :)
  17. Yep, looks like he's done it before, and as said ebay won't do much, I would do something along the lines as previously mentioned: reply and tell him he didn't set a reserve, if he wanted more he should have set the start bid at his minimum. If he wont sell it to you at the price you won it, you'll have no choice but to leave negative feedback.
  18. Have a good one :) :pint:
  19. I take it the battery is the same on all Z32's ... positive and negative post location and overall sizes etc regardless of UK or JDM ?
  20. Thanks for that tip redwine :thumbup1: I measured it and have ~ 0.9-1.2 ma (varies a bit presumably due to the immobilizer led flashing). After charging it started car no prob yesterday afternoon, this morning no go again :( Looks like you may be getting a PM soon Rob ;)
  21. Hmmm ... well after 2 weeks parked with a fully charged battery, its not got enough to start again :( Either something is draining it, or its foobar ! There is power enough to move seats, work the central locking etc, just not enough to start. The only recent addition is a set of powered seats, so I have unplugged them as they have permanent live and may have a fault thats drawing power ? I'll see if it holds charge this time. If not, how much would delivery be Hollandrob81 ?
