  2. there is a man after my own heart, an exhaust as loud as possible. Yeah the super dragger that i have heard sounds aswesome , especially if you have tt decatted as well. The pipes will rust eventually as they are mild steel, but the back box is stainless, so should fair better.. The back box is very big , so will hang physically lower at the back anyway, so beware of speed bumps!!
  3. If it is a non turbo you have to say those quarter miles may be in minutes..those amps must weigh a ton, literally!!..

  6. thanks for the comments, but if you had seen the state of the pipes from the diff and the state of the actual radiator ( for the cooling ) you'd understand why I got rid of them. The pipes were very very very rusty and the radiator was totally covered in wax oil ( from the previous owner !! ) and was acting more like a heater!! lol
  7. Hi to all. Bit of a techncial question here . Hope someone will know the answer. I'm at the moment changing the oil on my diff and have also removed the super efficient ( not ) diff oil cooler on my uk tt...I know the jap imports dont have this, so to tidy alot of the back end of the car up, i removed the cooler and all the associated piping.. My questions being, is what is the optimum amount of fluid you put in the diff ( without the cooler ) and what type of oil should yopu use...( no debates please !! lol ) :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

  9. sh1t...may have to re think the ole plans for the exhaust. the guts of £600 for a rusty exhaust after a year or so dosent appeal !! The only down side to the hks is that it was only a single exit, but yeah , heard it sounded the dogs!! Would ideally like a twin exit ( one pipe each side ) and big jap style slash cuts as well ( 5" ) any other ideas guys!!!!
  10. u guys got any thoughts on hks exhausts. I was thinkin of gettin a super dragger shortly. It is mild steel down to the rear box, which is polished stainless steel...

  15. Hi to all, i've been wondering about importing stuff from the good old U S of A..compared to uk prices, as usual they seem to be much cheaper. I know about the problems of returning stuff , but generally is the process pretty pain free? What sites do youlot recommend. I've heard of courtesy and z motorsport. Are they ok to deal with? thanks to all who reply!! :hyper:

  22. thanx m8, when she's finished I'll post up new pics.. the guy who is doing it is a professional restorer and generally only works on much older cars !! All classics ( thats why he's doing my Zed !! lol )

I did and it went pretty damm quick, with no smoke or anything like that on full 9.5 psi boost..or no knocks or anything untoward ....its the body work that has let it down, but as you can see , i saved this one from the scrap heap!! i'll give you an idea of how much trouble i'm goin to, to bring this back to showroom condition .. before and after for the rear sub frame and the same for the rear suspension parts
