  1. okay, im fairly clear with that lot, but which of the 3 plugs will it ( the correct wires to break into) be in, ( x 2 horizontal ) and 1 vertical ????? and is it def a yellow and violet wire im looking for, the destructions that came with the converter talk about light brown and blue wires or yellow and blue, sorry to be pedantic about this but i want to get it right first time without killing a good set of clocks
  2. now im more confused, the instructions i have state , connection of speedo converter behind the Speedo head connector 1 cut the signal wire 2 connect the yellow wire from the speedo converter to the signal wire from the loom 3 connect the green wire from the speedo converter to the signal wire on the speedo head connector so which signal wire do i cut, the yellow one or violet one, also is the speed signal in definitely yellow which of the connector blocks is the correct block to be tapping into ??? there are potentially 3 on the back ( plus 2 like ears) on the sides
  3. Help please, i realise this question has been asked before , however the links to online schematics / on line manuals do not represent the electrical layout i need. specifically i am going to wire in a KPH to MPH converter and need to splice into the instrument wiring, i have a later type cluster with HORIZONTAL type connectors can anybody reccomend a link which identifies the purpose of each wire on the connectors my car is a 93 TT jap spec Auto thanks Neil
  4. hi ian, yes please as many pictures as possible will help me in sorting the wiring thanks Neil
  5. yes all wired correctly, the difference is in the position of terminals in the Adaptor block compared with the original harness
  6. Hi all, just installed a blitz turbo timer, , all done correctly , however no ignition, removed the adaptor harness block and returned to normal and all was well, when comparing the harness connectors with the adaptor block it seems there are some differences, ie wire position , can anyone help , is it a case of moving the wire position , if so can anybody explain how best to do it, ???? my car is a 93 tt jap import auto thanks Neil

  9. will changing the front dampers complete ( for Big jims ) make any difference then,( as in old set off new set on) or is the top suspension mount a seperate thing altogether. thanks
  10. jim , thanks the rear shocks on my car are good (Gaitors are split) which is why i was going to swap them, as your rears are the same it would seem there is no point in taking mine off if there is nothing MOT wrong with them, the fronts however remain to be seen and checked and may well be FUBAR ( i keep getting a clunking from the front when braking and have changed tension rods allready) so if you agree i will check my fronts shocks by Saturday and let you know , is this okay ??? thanks Neil
  11. hmmm , jim, it sems apologies are in order, i was of the understanding that split gaitors would be a MOT fail, apologies if this inconvienienced you Neil
