Can i lift the engine and gearbox as 1 unit by 6 inches in order to gain access ??, If so, must I lower the subframe a little or can I avoid this ??. Ideally I do not want to have to remove the gearbox.

Hi all, I need to change the above lines as they are leaking where the union screws into the Turbos. I am not able to get access from underneath to the top union, so what is the easiest way to chenge the lines, Thoughts ??

Morning all, Currently trying to setup my throttle bodies correctly, from scratch, This is on my (1993 TT) in order to set the fully closed state and fully open position following engine rebuild in order to achieve fully open throttle mechanically, and correct setting of the TPS at WOT, Can anybody help with a succint but explanatory guide please. Hi Marty, the Map sensor is integral to the ECU, the boost will be controlled via the MAC valve, im just looking for locations that others have used to mount the MAC valve itself, its only a small thing, however.....................

Afternoon all, It is now time for me to install the MAC valve to suppor tthe change across to Standalone ECU (Link), Question is, where is the reccomended / ideal location for mounting the valve itself, The vac cable and wiring is installed and passes throught the bulk head bear to the Aircon condensate drain point. cheapest place for Decat pipes is my pad, 40 quid plus postage buys them, left hand side has provision for a wideband sensor, if you want them drop me a text 07929159828, they arnt beautiful, but are totally useable, I took them off as I am using divorced downpipes. Cheers Sayers

Tony I have a replacement crankshaft for you if you want it, it will need to be reground as it did previously spin a bearing, so a free crank , reground will be a cheaper and better option for you, Let me know

Remove the tank and filler neck completely, the neck of the tank goes porous over time and the vapour seeps regardless, stating the obvious , 1 spark with the tank in place hitting vapour or igniting fuel will remove the side of your house. The risk is NOT worth the time saved to remove the tank. My view anyway,
