  1. hmmmmmm, me is thinking fan? when it does overheat it seems the fan spins same speed as it does idle??? Any ideas? Doesn't seem loud at all. It does rev right up on very first cold start though. ..... Still waiting on sniffer test parcel too lol
  2. Just bubbles in the rad, no mayonnaise.. Jeff = No idea, sniff test should turn up tomorrow, not sure still, but heater still going cold/hot, then after a journey needs topping up again, then more bubbles... then goes round in circles like that, I can't see a leak with the system under pressure after stopping??? Driving me nuts, so resorted to this.
  3. Thanks Jimmer, will be ringing your bell when the time is right... Will probably drive her up to you to do the work??
  4. Thanks Z32Bolt, you're a star too... (Not a chocolate one lol)... I was thinking about going down the rebuld route; At some point I wanted the engine rebuilt back to it's former glory... but instead of taking it out after getting it going again... I may as well save over ehat it would cost and uprate and get stronger parts for it to run slightly more power. I'm glad in a way it's gone this route as I may of got this sprayed and then this happen to me. As you say, I could save up in the nasty conditions... Good advice bud =0)
  5. block tester = sniffer test And oh dear, word coming from jimmer is not good =( How much am I looking at to fix this?
  6. Hmmmmmmm... me is lost. Been reading some posts: Some say bubbles in rad is head gasket... others say thermostat dicky; then it overheats then it steams out water from overflow (which it has once)... some also say it's a blocked and dodgy heater matrix causing problems lol, how much money does my car want me to spend on it? Is it possible to buy some vocal chords for it for £20 for it to tell me what's up with it? lol
  7. ... Ordered a block tester kit ... will keep you posted, thanks guys.
  8. Thanks guys, all much appreciated =0) Will have to buy a sniffer I suppose, checking the thermostat is a nightmare and same with water pump, will probably have to save some pennies. Thanks for the e-link. Jeff sent me a new radiator cap bless him, same problem. It says: let the engine continue to run until the thermostat opens and the coolant solution is running through the system. You'll know when this is happening because the upper radiator hose will become hot to the touch. And it does this...... Then I open the bleed screw and bubbles keep coming out until the pressure goes down in the top hose, then we're back to square one and topping up until it gets up to pressure after a drive (or let the engine go cold overnight)... then you just repeat this... giving me a headache.
  9. Tried and tried bleeding and bleeding... Still air bubbles and heating still going cold, then starts overheating. Cannot seem to find a leak apart from water dripping from the offside front of the car, top hose goes solid under load. Pulling my *beep* hair out now... what or who is going to fix this and for how much? I know nothing about cars. *beep* CAR!
  10. ...With it's arse hanging out of a drive and a big up 'n' over spoiler on it. G337 or G377 Not bad, not bad =0)
  11. True, I did ask for them, but he 'insisted' lol Just found on MA-18 of the service manual: Standard Type: N/A - PFR6B-11 TT - PFR6B-11C Hot Type: N/A - PFR5B-11 TT - PFR5B-11C Cold Type: N/A - PFR7B-11 TT - PFR7B-11C And it says 'platinum tipped' BUGGER!!... Oh well, I know where these Iridium plugs are going! lol
  12. Spark plugs... I was told a 1.1mm gap for my Z and a heat rating of 5 or 6... My friend has ordered these for me, but I noticed it has an 0.6mm gap and a heat rating of 8. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-Fairlady-8-NGK-Iridium-Spark-Plugs-x-6-/290375665126?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item439bbd05e6 Are these any good or am I going to have to tell him to poke it because they're wrong??
  13. "JeffTT has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space." ---> Does exactly what it says on the tin! Shouts: Come on Jeff, get the mop out! lol --- Was trying to ask if you got my phone message on answerphone at work bud...?
  14. FAO: JeffTT This is my old pug I done up eventually... I designed the look I wanted on photoshop, then showed my sprayer what I wanted in graphic form (I'm no CAD designer! lol)... I sold this and my old Seat MKII Ibiza at the same time to get my 300zx!! (It's got to be done!!)
  15. Aaaa, the infamous TonyB, was good to meet you @ Jeff's bud, good lil natter =)
  16. Thanks Jeff... Shame I don't personally know any other Z32 owners, but if any spring up will point them in the right direction bud =) Good tip for you.... Press the 'print screen' button on your keyboard that's located above home on your keyboard, go into 'paint' on your pc (located in start ---> programs ---> accessories) then just go up to the menu bar and goto: edit ---> paste ... then goto: file ---> save as, select *.JPEG from down the bottom of the dropdown bar in the save window, give the screenshot a name, then hit save or ok.... And there you have a perfect screenshot you can email anybody right away without having to rig your camera up and download all the pics. Hope that helps??? Ant
  17. update... Thanks to Jeff and his crew my car was sorted today with the old faithful conZult... Wrong spark plugs, timing was out 13 degrees, throttle balance was wrong and the maf someone sold me on here was crud. Much love goes to those guys, should of bought my zed there in the first place... Only bitch about today was my car decided to overheat on the way back, had to put it on a low-loader and bring her home an hour away from home in Kent (nothing to do with Jeff's work may I add)... probably me trying to do a coolant change the other week... Recovery guy had brown water spat back at him lol, but noticed the guage going up and down, same time my heating in the car was going from cold to hot, so not sure if this is an air lock or thermostat??? Radiator seemed cool on overheat, but the main block was boiling!!! Jeff is sending me more info on how to sort it all the way down here =0) Just hope this helps others in a similar situ' I have been in =o0
  18. Went past at Mickleburgh Hill, I was working... I was in this road: Ivanhoe Road :cool3: I would of said it was a SWB Slicktop, black fuzzy haired man driving it

  20. Ok, here goes Jeff... New Codes New Idle; Cold Start New Idle Warm - Pic 1 of 2 (Noticed the O2 Sensor fluctates a bit on warm hence two pictures showing the voltage fluctuation range) New Idle Warm - Pic 2 of 2 New Idle Control Adjustment Button COLD (Without ME adjusting it this time and messing it up, but just to show what they've set it at when clicking this) Hope this all helps bud????? Thanks, Ant
  21. I know..... Not happy that they've only INSULATION TAPED up my injector plugs and they all look different :@ They still never gave me a diagnosis of what my f!!!ing car is doing either. Think they just wanted it out the way?? -- OK, will sort this out in a bit Jeff (screenshots etc). If I bought the car up this weekend or Monday day, what is involved in this £30 while-u-wait thing? Thanks, Ant
