  1. Hmmm, lying gits... Oh well... £188 later, 6 injector plugs replaced and 3 hours labour... the car is running ok now, idling smooth and not lumpy andat 700rpm but still not happy. Still doing that weird fluctuating on warm start.
  2. I was also told that all JAP imports have to have a custom ecu and mapped to our fuel as they run on 102 octane or something? Otherwise the engine eats itself from inside out?
  3. Yeah, think I'm going to feel a dent in my pocket very shortly....................................
  4. Just to update... I couldn't get her to Zedworld all them miles away, she started juddering the other night and I just laughed to myself on the way home as if to say "yeah, like I'm going to chance driving there like this!" lol... Strood to D2 was even out of the question as it was too touch and go, so found a place that does 200sx and 300zx her in Sittingbourne, Kent called 'Bourne Performance', they have consult and stuff... I was there 8am on the dot this morning and they still have the car... It wouldn't start this morning after driving it to them... So they had to wait until she decided to go.... Anyway, me and my mate went down later at about 16:00 and they found the whole loom had decided to corrode, showed me the injector plugs were all white, that's as far as they'd had got... They're going to have to replace plugs they said!?!? Bummer! But at least she'll be working in no time (I hope!)... I put her in for £50 diagnostics, just hope they don't sting me for a massive labour bill now!! =0o
  5. I've got the conzult cable, going to give it a blast tomorrow after work. Only got the free version though =(
  6. *sighs* *depressed* lol There's no way this is getting to Zedworld now!
  7. Yeah I was getting similar problems, but they went away after replacing it... So how do I check for boost leak? I think I'll have to stick it in a garage for them to do, I'm no mechanic and I want to actually drive this car lol Thanks guys =0)
  8. You're joking, I just bought a maf from baz?? No zftermarket stuff on the maf either.
  9. Just bought the car back from a run out, was supposed to go to a cruise meet, but it started kind of juddering/misfiring on the way, so I turned around and went back... When I pulled up on the drive the car was going up and down in revs idle quite quick like... brum, brum, brum, brum Then when I tried to put my foot down it only revved to 2500 on the drive... I also noticed on the way back that my boost was going right up, but the revs never moved and when I was crusing, the revs would fluctuate slightly... WHAT THE F!CK IS UP WITH THIS PIECE OF SH!T NOW!?? Am I ever going to have a car that runs? FFS :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:
  10. The handles themselves aren't needed though... But good point =0)
  11. lol, yeah I read that somewhere, I have a jap and there is no loom going up to it or none of the white illumination boxes behind the handle for it... Thought it would be good to try and get some going. Noticed only one handle has the special pull up metal bar; I was told this illuminates for 7seconds to show you where the key hole was when you lift the handle briefly.... ... Then again I don't drink and drive... and I eat my carrots lol
  12. Yeah, I need the locking plastics, plus these have the loom and the handle lights built onto them.
  13. Was this a good buy? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260674983022&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  14. I'd stay in it over night for the next week, if something wakes you up with some more antics, start her up and drive over them... then just leave it parked up on the c!!!s, stick your head under the car and say... "You'll think twice next time hey!"... then pause for a second and say... "She even looks nice from underneath huh!?"... then walk away lol What I wouldn't do................ :@
  15. Jesus! How do I book? Just via the Zedworld site?
  16. Errrr... *Brain Overload, system meltdown, error... error... error!* lol, I think I better bring her up to you Jeff lol How much am I looking at to look at all this?
  17. How much did it cost you all in bud?
  18. Hi guys, Managed to get a consult reader and the free software. Not sure how to use it really, but hooked it up to me car, got the screen shots of the car idle on cold start idle, warm idle and then warm idle after adjusting the idle time... it said it was out and made the car idle way past the green ok bar on the software, so adjusted it accordingly, then done a screen rip after it was done....... Can someone help and tell me if my car is ill? I also noted my o2 reading was moving quite a bit on warm idle instead of looking stable. Is this normal? Here are the pics with info for diagnosis :- IDLE COLD AFTER START (AND BEFORE IDLE SET WITH IDLE BUTTON) WARM IDLE - BEFORE IDLE ADJUST WARM IDLE - AFTER IDLE ADJUST WARM IDLE - AFTER IDLE ADJUST - PREVIEW; SEEMS IT DOES NOT WANT TO IDLE INTO THE GREEN EVEN THOUGH THE SCREW HAS BEEN TURNED A LOT, DIDN'T WANT TO KEEP ALTERING, SO LEFT IT AT THIS... RIGHT OR WRONG THING TO DO?? GENERAL INFO WINDOW TROUBLE CODES (REPLACED THIS SENSOR A WEEK AGO, SO SHOULD I IGNORE THIS?
  19. Yeah I have a similar £150 P.A with Footman James lol.........
  20. True, I had the same kit but didn't want the hack the loom... plus my soldering iron hates the cold lol I have to say I did make a thread about these being 'tacky' and I must aopologise and hold my head down in shame... I think the way they're shot off of the car makes them look pants, but on the car... VERY SUBTLE! =0)
  21. lol very true, but just for this........ Not worth a dremel
  22. Just thought I would say I used a pair of wire cutters CAREFULLY... Then snipped bits away... It was still a pig, I was lucky that I never broke anything. I'm not sure, but I had to mod these to the 3 prong version from the 2. Here are the pics/progress for anyone asking to put these up. P.S: You need to get rid of the stopper inside the housing on some bits (as you progress you will see why... Just go slow!). Marked the points where I was going to chomp! Oh by the way, run some superglue around the rubbers and stick them to the housing itself as it's a sod getting the new indicators in! (the weatherseal external rubbers, not the bulb housing one) Hope this helps as I scoured this site for help on this......... :thumbup1:
