  1. im wondering if they do manage to gain independance what the IRA will do they have been after the same thing (albiet the wrong way) for years, hope it doesnt cause them to flare up
  2. i can gaurentee that the film Braveheart will be played just before the election in scotland
  3. Dont think he will have done owt meself like, far to clean cut for that, but as said until proven we cant cast judgement
  4. Except you cliff. You're going to prison Reckon he did owt wrong or not, he was heavily involved with the church and we all know what they are like lolo
  5. this is what i ended up with, its the hybrid trek 8.4 ds 2015, great bike and i love going for a blast out on it, hardly use my car these days, cycle to work and back as much as i can, even in the monsoon we had the other day, even my waterproofs were not waterproof that day lol
  6. one of the reasons i love running so much is that it gives me the lift i need, dont think i get depressed but do get down a lot (could be depression) but i find that running is great for me, when im out with the club there is nothing im thinking about other than the job at hand, it makes me feel better about myself and another group i run with actually have people from a therapy depression group that come along and join in and they say its helping other focus on things ive also started cycling to work and back which is 12 miles a day, i feel much better about myself and i run with a great set of people who are some of the best friends i have its not for everyone but maybe worth a try as extra help, running also releases endorphines into your system which makes you feel better, ronnie the rocket osullivan uses running to help battle his depression hope no one suffers in by themselves, there is nothing anyone can say or do to make you feel better when your down but its nice to know that they are there to help pick you up when your ready but it just goes to show that depression doesnt discriminate against anyone, wealthy, poor, famous or unknown we all suffer the same R.I.P Robin Williams
  7. cheers guys, had a great day
  8. so in your logic im willing to pay one full english pounds for that car so that makes it worth £1
  9. get this guy in, really knows his stuff
  10. but what if all the gripe threads are about you? not saying they will be but having gripe threads feels like its against all us mods and comittee lets start a who we hate the most thread and see if we can get the forum sorted? see what i mean?
  11. well my thoughts on the matter have been posted, some people may have more info than i have and may think im worng, no mod is safer than anyone else on here no matter what anyone else thinks dont want to fall out with anyone but if its happened then so be it, but im allowed my say as much as anyone, and i think this is more posted towards kev's (harby300) posts, i wasnt singling you or anyone else but it seems you have taken my comments to heart and it wasnt meant that way, take it as you will but i dont wish to fall out with you, my only apology is to making you think i was singling you out, not my comments to the membership ive had my say as much as anyone so that will be my last Allan
  12. and apolgies to you kev and aynone else thats thinks i singled them out, i wasnt i am commenting as i read the whole thing, ian has tried his best in this situation, i cant comment on any other problems anyone else has had with ian if any at all as this thread is about the boost controller and i think he has done all he can to come to a decent enough conclusion threads like this always end up causing uspet even if they are not intended to, ive been a mod long enough to see this happen before and seen it get way out of hand before, i havent posted much for the last 6 months or so as i have other things going on with training, kids and so forth but i do still pop on and read everything, if ian was in the wrong with this i would be the first to say he was as but i truly dont think in this situ that he was wrong Allan
  13. see who face to face? not sure what your prob is kev, thought we got on well, he is a good mod and has done good for the club the thread started to get the attention of the forum not the people involved, from what ive read ian had offered the refund in full if it was returned as sold long before this started, when the buyer refused ian refuse, maybe more to it than i know about but im not sure
  14. nope, im not calling anyone a trouble maker and i thought you knew me enough to know that i would say it or type it directly if i was singling anyone out, but dont think you can go having your say without anyone else having theirs, my last post wasnt directed at you it was directed at a lot of people who have jumped on this whole situation and wanted blood i also pay to have my say, i didnt insult anyone in my post, simply having my say like everyone else has
  15. sorry but ian went above and beyond, he offered a refund if the item wqas returned as it was sent, then offered half payment to be sent back as it was and both from what i can tell was refused i think he has been more than fair and think people are just after blood, it has been said that the item has been seen working albeit on the car before it was took off, seems a bit of a witch hunt, i know people have had probs with ian and his moderating in the past but thats because ian is a good mod that has had passion for the forum i ahve the same problems with my tennants, the only ones that dont like me and my boss are the ones that cause problems, eveyone else like us as we know we do a great job sorry if this upsets anyone but tuff, its the truth as i see it
  16. dude, that song is supposed to be about drugs, heroin infact lol
  17. i think ian has made a fair offer to you, but its your choice to leave, if you change your mind you know where we are but dont think ian is being protected (this is for all members) he has been treated the same as anyone else in this prediciment and im sure the outcome would have been the same no matter who was involved, he sold what he claims was a working boost controller, another member claims it worked on the car before removing, new onwer recieved it, changed parts on it now wants money back as its not working i havent a clue about things like boost controllers, and not sure whether changing things on it would make it not work but i wouldnt take back an item that was working then wasnt and had been altered, so i think ian's offer was fair and above what i expected anyone else to do in this situation i bought a second hand maf some time ago, fitted it to my car and worked ok, bought an airfilter fitted that and the maf went a day later, all in the space of a week or so, i just took it on the chin that it could have been something i did, didnt bother contacting the seller for a new one (just an example of how things can go wrong) lets hope we can get over this and go bck to enjoying the forum as intended Allan
  18. this is what i fancy
  19. thanks for the input guys, i think im set on the trek, seems to get good reviews and looks a decent enough bike anyone used the cycle to work scheme?
  20. sorry, post 68 was supposed to have tonys post 63 quoted in it
  21. they will investigate and make a desicion based on the facts supplied to them from both parties, if they just dished out refunds then everyone would be scamming it lol not suggesting that anyone is scamming anyone here by the way
  22. if the court requests then any info we have will be passed on, but we wont hand out info to anyone else
  23. does ebay, paypal, amazon and so forth give out the adress of people that have complaints against them, we wont be giving out info like that on here ever no matter how much you go on about it and remember the club does its best to help out in situations but we merely allow the advertising of sale of goods, we dont make money from it and we are not in controll of it, it is simply an advertising board bit like your local paper selling in the classifieds, its not the clubs fault as much as its not the papers fault, but we do try our best to settle any disputes it will be invwestigated the best it can be and hopefully come to a conclusion that both the seller and buyer agrees on, no one will be protected hope we can resolve this and any other transactions that go south without anyone leaving the forum or being banned (which is a very last resort) alos hope people can refrain from posting anything negative about the club as we do our best to keep it fair for everyone and its not an easy job to keep everyone happy, its not the club in a whole but individuals within it we will see how it pans out and i for one hope it works out well for both parties Allan
  24. i know some are, along with the running ive just started cycling aswell, just the commute to work and back for now (11 miles 3 times a week) anyhoo's ive decided i need a better bike and ive been looking into the cycle to work scheme as shell can get it via her work, ive been to a cycle shop today who stock trek cycles and think the hybrid ds 8.4 is the one for me, its a £600 bike but can be had for £400 via the scheme anyone got the trek 8 series bike or any other hybrid bike, any reccomendations into them before i decide if im gonna take the plunge? thanks Allan
