  1. thanks guys, this var really is fun to drive but also very nice t drive aswell, plan is to keep it original and mint looking, got a stack of reciepts with it, really well looked after and the company i bought it from said it was the best they had in for while its no 300zx but i really cant afford to run and maintain a zed these days unfortunatly, this had 225 bhp and is no slouch but deffo no where near the zeds performance.........unless i remapp it lol
  2. howdy doody everyone, finally got myself an audi S3 after months or maybe a year of looking, set myself a budget and spec and totally went over both as you do lol, anyhoos been a while since i was on here, still running and getting faster, family growing and just enjoying life as it comes lol couple of pics of the new ride, its a 2002 audi s3 8l, nogaro blue and is immaculate apart from needing a wheel refurb, totally love the car like hope you enjoy
  3. Cheers guys, would you believe it, afyer doing the same on another forum ive found the perfect car (well havent viewed it yet) and is only in newcastle, hasnt been advertised yet so get first refusal Also someone on here has a very nice audi s4 b5 avant for sale which is also interesting me so if the s3 no good i might have a look at this aswell
  4. Thought i would post in here as its not zed related but im after a audi S3, preferably red, nogaro blue or silver, heated seats preferred aswell, lower the mileage the better under 100k ideal Nowi know its no zed but i do a lot of xc and travelling about the north east and a zed is no good for me, wanted something with a bit of build quality and power but also economical...ish if i want it to be and ive always fancied an s3 So if anyone spots on for sale thrn please let me know,i trawl the usual ebay, gumtree dedicated forums so ive got that covered Also don't want to be travelling all over the country as it eats into my budget, closer to the north east the better lol Anyway cheers for reading, ya never know someone might know someone with one P.s, how is everyone, dont get on much now, family life, work abd running gets in the way of thinga these days lol All the best Allan
  5. Chromebook help, anyone know owt about them, last week or so its started to keep refreshing the page when i type or sometimes from google search i press enter to navigate to chosen site and it just refreshes straight back to google search page, also when clicking onto settings it sometimes wont Let me click on them and jumps back to the top of the page, cant use it at all, its doing my head in, have tried to google it but cant find much, only had it a couple months
  6. thanks mate, slowly chipping away at me times, im loving the buzz from all aspects of training but this swimming thing is harder than it looks getting everything right lol and yeah graham, all doing well and a massive turn around for us all
  7. thats great mate, a huge well done from me for completing an iron man, im far from iron mans, ive been running for 2 years now and cycling for a year, im just learning to swim now, had 2 lessons of proper under water front crawl and its not as easy as it seems lol family and work gets in the way of training sometimes meaning i dont have the time to train for races such as marras or iron mans, not that im complaining like lol ive just joined the sun city tri club so hoping to be fit for a mini tri next year when the season starts ive improved a lot on my running times, 5k is 21:49, 10k is 45:17 and half marra is 1:44:44, only been racing about a year and my passion is xc, i love hills, mud, cold weather and the banter that comes with a cross country event
  8. didnt you used to get blocks of wood for the stags to drive up on so you could open the bonnet, used to be one round where i worked (a blue one) that was always on bloaks of wood with the bonnet open
  9. oh and i have 2 children now, charlie who is 3 and freddie who is 5 months old, life has changed a lot for me in the last couple of years and deffo for the better
  10. and not motor bikes either, aint been on for a while, im usually whoring facey or out training, right into running as some know after years of being a drunken slob but now im into bikes aswell, pedal bikes, been cycling to work for the last year (not so much in the midst if winter) but as im really enjoying it ive decided to treat myself to a road bike (current one is a hybrid) so ive got myself a 2016 giant defy 0 its a fantastic bike and even has carbon on it, seat post, forks and handlebars are all carbon composite im also just learning to swim as im gonna try and do a mini triathalon next year fitness is awesome once you have the bug, although i would love another zed i doubt i will ever save me pennies as i keep buying running shoes, bike parts and now gonna need wet suits and so forth lol anyhoos just thought i would drop yas a line to let yas know what im upto (if interested lol) hope everyone is well and still with zeds, couple of pics of me whips and an xc pic as the new season has just started and that is my fave passion
  11. We called them bogies lol
  12. I think sepp blatter is the right man for the job and any who disagrees obviously hasn't seen my new rolex
  13. if your drilling into a dot and dabbed plasterboard wall this is what you need 16mm high speed hole drill bit 7mm masonary drill bit brown wall plug some 15mm copper mark your hole that you want to drill drill the plasterboard out with the 16mm bit in the middle of that hole use the 7mm bit to drill the hole for the plug into the brick behind the plasterboard use a long screw to help push the rawl plug into the wall, then use the screwhead of the screw to knock the plug into the hole properly (use a hammer and hit the screw to push the plug) then get the copper pipe, push it against the brick, mark the outside of the plasterboard on the pipe cut the copper and push it into the hole, the copper should sit flush with the outer of the plasterboard put the screw through whatever your screwing to the wall and tighten up against the copper pipe, this will give you a solid fixing into the wall without distorting the plasterboard wall as it will pull tight against the copper pipe its what we do, get a good solid fixing
  14. Haha. Im well thanks, ive got another son due any day soon, things are hectic at the moment, was nice to jave some time last night to myself and enjoyed getting bsck on the forum
  15. cheers alan, you know the score mate, family first and i dont jog, i run, just done a personal best of 1:44:44 for a half marathon (13.1 miles) running is my life now and everything i do these days revolves around running, its awesome
  16. i really hope so richard, it really does have me concerned for the future of the north east and farrage is what i call "a drunken government" we all meet at pubs or houses and get drunk with friends, we spout off about all kinds of things including polotics and have all the right answers, everything is right in what we announce (when drunk) or if not our equally drunk friends know the right answer but the next day when the booze has wore off and the flashbacks come back we start to realise we were actually all talking *****cks and realise our fantastic drunken ideas could never be implemented and the only people who realised this the night before were the sober people ukip is a drunken group of lads and lasses with the answers to everthing but the practice of nothing
  17. they have already made plans to make the juke elswhere if we leave the eu, that along with honda will be the end of british maufacturing altogether, its a very worrying
  18. i believe that with david milliband at the reigns then it may have been a different story, ed is a goof, he stabbed his brother in the back and took it from the unions to get what he wanted, he would have sided with anyone to be prime minister and i was very worried about that i voted conservative as i think its the best choice not only for the country but for myself, i have been better off under this geverment and felt more secure one thing i am concerned about is the eu thing, i dont want us leave as i live in sunderland and this city survives on nissan, they have wanred they will leave the country if we leave the eu and that is very worrying for me but lets hope the country made the right choice and voted in the right party to sort out the mess the country is in
  19. hope we are all well, been a long time since i posted a thread, thought i would have a night off running, working and worrying about our son to arrive and have a few beers and a catch up with the forum im always on looking but dont have much time these days to get involved in much so just keep quiet, still zedless and will be for the forseeable but ya never know whats round the corner anyhoos hope you's are all having a good night Allan
  20. its fake mate, sky news announced today that they wont employ anyone who was fired for assaulting a member of staff, no one should be put in the postition to be afraid in the work place they said guy has really screwed up this time, im sure he will get work somewhere but may find it very hard
  21. Maybe its because you were using your phone while driving?
  22. hehe, i still like a good drink but dont drink anywhere near as much as i used to, i love the running, never thought i would have kept it up never mind joining the sunderland harriers and travelling all over the country running races, im no where near the top lads but im not the slowest
  23. i did enjoy mkyself mate, when im doing it im hating it but love it at the end, its great, i remember the advice with shin splints and so forth you gave me, still get them sometimes but i think its more tendon pain from over doing it lol thanks for the previous advice, people like yourself have kept me plodding through to a sport i love
