get a Border FMIC :) do you have the ducting with the ARC side mounts ?? if you have the ducting then you will notice no real difference between them and a good quality FMIC without the ducting the sidemounts are no where near as effecient .....as for blocking air to the rad ....no its not the case they are designed to let air flow through them so you would experience a reduction in air flow to the rad but not a blockage..if you stick with the viscous fan you will not notice it anyway

i have a V8 5.5 ML AMG and one side of the exhaust is blowing in the middle , so i was thinking of getting a dual 3" system but keeping the AMG oval back boxes but doing away with the cats, come MOt time in 10 months i will just switch it over to LPG and was wondering if the emissions woud be ok without the cats on LPG .....i have the option of fitting a spool piece and bolting the cats back in for MOt time if i need to .....are there any other things to consider ...i.e would the cat temp sensors need removing .....would it confuse the ECU etc etc steve

nice one , im running mike smith manifolds but not divorced down pipes ..as im not sure i can get them for PE 1420 tubs .....im sticking with the 4 exit tips as well ...cant find any yet though ....tried blue flame and jamex ....do mongoose do a quad exit system ? anyway my missus got me a copy of banzai last night , its waiting for me when i get home in end of May .....and hopefully so will be my zed.....love the seats in yours and the wheels .......sex wee time

well that has been a journey and a half mate..must admit the updates etc have kept my interest up as i nearly gave up on mine 5 or 6 times ...so looking forward to getting mine finished now..it looks stunning in white with those Rays wheels, what exhaust did you end up getting ? did you have any issues geting it all lined up with teh manifolds and new turbos ? steve

hi guys gary is right , i know i have a very bad temper and im not a small bloke so i agreed to stay away so as not to spoil things for others , Alan and others know all about it and there comments are also valid , i am sorry if i stirred up any bad feelings it wasnt my intention i just want to get my car back and sorted and start enjoying it and teh zed community again ....i think all mods of every forum do a cracking job of organising stuff for others to enjoy and i dont want to bet the pilock spoiling it for everyone if i turn up .......however some things should never be forgotten or forgiven ...if this had been one of the more hard line forums..skyline or Honda then there would have been a different and uniform approach to teh situation and not such a divided one as i have found exists in teh 300 world ...i know and will never forget those who have supported , helped , encouraged, coaxed and kept me going when i just wanted to give up and you guys are on teh top of my buy you a pint list when my zed is running again steve

spot on Jeff ....ive seen loads of electrical fires in cars where big spotlamps have been fitted to the main beam without a relay and the wire just gets so hot the insulation catched fire and melts off and the bare wires short out ....put into the mix a petrol leak and it gets realy nasty ......just not worth it unless the wiring is specificaly designed for high amp running with associated eletrical protection in place.
