  3. Chances that its off balance are minimal as it would of been machined on a CNC so unless the machine had conkers for bearings it will be OK...but will get my mate to run it up on his kit and see what there like. :duffer:

CheerZ Andy :bow: I rang me engineering mate and he said "YUP"...no probs...take the measurements from original pully :cool: SkylineDave....If you can get your pulley to me then I can get the mark put on for you for nowt but dunno how much it would cost you in P+P....bit of a drive from leicster so might cost you in juice. Offers there if you need it though :duffer: Right ...im off to Ebay to get me a pully :nana2:
  8. HHMMm....thats an idea. But I think the underdrive light weight pullys are different circumference (the belts are different size anyway) so it might be tricky. If I was to get one then my Engineering buddy could run it up on his cnc machinery and check its true/balanced before fitting but Im not sure on this whole timing mark thingy :( . :wack:
  9. If ...and I say "IF" ....I was to buy an Ebay pully (and I know the Pros and Cons) with no timing marks on then how would you go about setting the mark other than lining up piston no:1 with the Top Dead Center although this is a bit bodge and wouldnt be very accurate. Any one? Ta :wack:

  11. EErrmmm....not really. The only prob ive had is the right BOV tube moved/sliped down a bit but that was only coz it wasnt tightned properly before. Krsmayo on this forum....hes taken them off to get to the boost pipes and found it a bit tricky to put them on but they do fit. Get an awesome PPPPPSSSSSHHHHTTTTT....PPPPSSSSHHHHHTTTTT :duffer:

I still have original re-circs in place and not even capped of :xxx: My BOVs still make a nice PPPPSSSSSHHHHHTTTTTTT :cool: Mine are mounted in top engine bay.....I have seen them installed on the other pipes but not where mine are before... Im thinking that the culprit that fitted them couldn't be arsed either to take em out :smash: As below bud:-

  19. ROFL... :rofl: Personally I have chosen an oil that is recommended by an engine re-builder who knows his stuff as they get to see "the proof in the pudding" if you know what i mean. Millers 10W60...for a twin turbo jobbie..will be different rating for a N/A hehehe...this should get em started again :x:

Nice choice Splatt...what made you not wanna get another Zed again bud? :confused: These are certainly a very fast motor as I have seen a few Police cars round london take off on a call from standstill....Fookin quick i'd say.....and they were estates with all their equipment in them so your saloon will be quicker once modded. :duffer:
  22. :eek: :x: :( Whilst this is the technical section, members will sympathise with you bud and just try n be cheerfull whatever the scenario...only tryin to be friendly :nelson: Anyway.... I have DumpValves fitted in the engine bay uptop with the re-circs still in place and not plugged. I still get a lovely PPSSSHHHTTTTT sound. As above really...see if you have any kind of adjustment on them as they sound bit tight. Also...as said...the auto's may or may not give quite as much when driving as there is no sudden drop in pressure when like you change gear on a manual although you should be able to get a noise when just reving it at standstill as long as its short sharp bursts upto bout 5-6000 rpm. (FAO steve-o=when do yours make the sound best...how do you set them off in a auto) Hope you get it sorted and i'm sure someone else who had this problem will read n reply soon. Be sure to post up your soloution as youve got me intreaged as to what it could be :confused: :duffer:
