There is no economy in a twin turbo. £60 to fill up and that's all I know. Petrol is the least of your worries, as Yampiedog says it's the mantainance costs that you wanna think about mate.

You may need to state if they are off a manual or auto as they are different sizes :)

In a week or two hopefully mate. 44k engine and bigger tubs going in, lightened underdrive pully, replacement steel steering rack bushes, removing all the air-con and then up to John Dixons then to get it all set up. Not sure how far we're gonna be able to push it on standard intercoolers and injectors but we'll have a go :)

The car will run a lot better and be more responsive without Cats...............but most 15-16 year old turbo seals can't handle the extra back pressure and fail either straight away or shortly after. If you've got the spare money to change the turbos then go for it, if not I'd leave well alone.

When did you take the cats off before or after you had the new tubs?

SWB's are supposed to handle better but you won't find a manual TT one for 3 grand. Save a bit more money and buy a decent one thats been cared for or otherwise you'll be paying in the long run. A chap on here called 'BIRD' bought a cheap one and he's spent over 5 grand trying to put it right and it's still not sorted.
