Still never sorted a fix for this and lost the number for my mechanic's sparky when my phone croaked it and mechanic is on holiday - doh!!! And still waiting for lil ste to come round with his tools lol :whistling:

Thanks again everyone. Marc's realised now that if we're without a small family car for any length of time we're really stuffed in terms of where we can go or what we can do over the winter, so he's started looking for a micra to get asap. This means that I don't have to sell my zed after all, although over the winter I will need to start saving for a smal car of my own (yellow micra to match the zed?!) so for now I'm keeping the car. I really would have been devastated to sell her as she is without a doubt the nicest car I've ever owned and I am hooked on the looks and power of the zed now. Sorry for being a tit lol :shaun: J
