  1. Even Barry Boys would cringe at that one!! Lordy...
  2. Its my little girl's last day at nursery today, then she's off to big school on Thursday next week, gulp! So we've got the long weekend free to have some time with her and some days out before she embarks on a new chapter of her life. Might take her to the local farm tomorrow so we can cuddle some sheep, planning on a day out to York next week so she can see the trains at the national railway museum, will probably take her to the park on her bike if the weather's nice. It will just be nice to have some time with her and not be at work!! Anyone got any exciting plans for their bank holiday? shame we couldn't all have one MAHOOSIVE zed meet J
  3. thats awesome - I really hope my little girl will be a petrolhead like Marc and I when she grows up - such a shame my zed is a 2 seater as I would like to start taking her to car shows next year
  4. Yeah I think its looking like closer to those figures, not the figures Marc has in mind (and incidentally he wrote this initial post, I was having a cuppa downstairs with my mate!). See if it was an MR2 I know people with enough expertise locally to do a conversion - I think its highly unlikely that a run of the mill every day mechanic would be willing or able to undertake a piece of work like this - so then we're looking at a specialist and that makes it far more costly. Lets face it, if it was really a financially viable option, lots more people would do it surely? Bantambunny's suggestion is VERY interesting tho......
  5. :tt2: PM me your drop us an email when is good for you - and your address of course lol - will sort out a convoy from Teesside and you can get the kettle on
  6. I know Ste - still not sure which way to go. Marc has decided to get a small car sooner rather than later, provided he can find a decent one - and the cheeky monkey started a thread in my name last night asking about engine conversions in case we could find a cheap TT engine and do a transplant. Which wouldn't get me a cheap runabout but its certainly worth thinking about. Just not sure who I would trust enough to do a big job like that as they're specialist cars and I don't know anyone who would realyl want to undertake such a project.....like I said, watch this space!
  7. Interesting - my dad still lives in Pompey!! Maybe if Marc does get a Micra we'll give that journey a go!!
  8. I've got an Apexi stainless steel full system and it is quite frankly, the dog's danglies. Sounds mint, the most awesome growl!
  9. You can read AND write Rich? Thats bloody brilliant, well done you ;o)
  10. OH MY GOD Pete!!! Please can we come and see it some time? PLEEEEEEEEEEASE! PLEASEEEEEEEEEE
  11. Lol I wish. just an idea as Marc has sold his celica and has got some money for a car and to put back into the zed. If it doesnt go for what I want the conversion at the price seems logical, as I really want a tt.
  12. Bloody Norah thats dear was thinking about 80 quid ha
  13. :ninja: Excellent how much are they normally?
  14. Yeah i had a look at his thread. The mechanic will know what he's doing but a tt ecu would be better.Good thinking would make the car more valuable and also alot more fun than it already is.
  15. Lol kind of sounds tempting but was wondering if anyone has had the experience of it too. Suppose were theirs risk theres reward.
  16. Its just a thought depends if the engine is good etc. Its such a good car but if someone offered me the price i would sell. Marcs sold his car and he's got dosh too invest
  17. Yeah the engine would cost 300 and the labour 500 but would try and blag them down plus could sell the bits of the engine so happy days... could be.
  18. I thought £800 quid was reasonable with all the anciliaries too. Plus my shell is so good would seem like an idealisitic thing to do.
  19. Ok. i thought it wouldnt cost too much to do as i've sourced an engine cheap and the labour is £300
  20. hello out of curiosity has anyone did a n/a to twin turbo conversion before? How much is it roughly and what would i need j
  21. As if you even needed to ask - YELLOW! Like lightning, just a blur of yellow and light as I whizz past - too fast to anyone to even ask "what the f**k was that?!" :wheelchair:
  22. Good story Pete, glad your car's ok tho Sir Charles do you work for Wessex?!
  23. Thanks - like I said I have a rough figure in mind, if it doesn't get close to that then I would keep the car I think - I couldn't let it go for peanuts, she's worth far too much to me! However for the right price, if that would allow me to get my runabout and a chunk towards a TT, like I said, its a no brainer really. As long as I'm not without a zed for long.....
