Cheers lads - What a lovely memory of the last time I'll be posting on here - My post being deleted. You could have at least asked me to remove the link if thats what you didnt like. I've been on this web site since it very first started -check my details- so you could at least have been decent about it.

The gas in the Jap system was R12 and so the fittings for the system are slightly different if I remember correctly - other than that its the same.

Pistop Garage County Road Ormskirk - North West...
If anyone is ever tempted to go here for tyres - beware and dont! I took a wheel in and he took off a V spec tyre and put a H spec on and also damaged the paint on my rim - when I confronted him about it he swore blind it was already damaged and tried to blame it on kerbing. This bloke is a liar. I managed to get my money back and the tyre taken off so I'll have to settle for that - should I report him and if so who is best?

MAF and subaru compatibility
Well, you learn something new every day eh!

MAF and subaru compatibility
Well thats exactly what I thought - it was headed as a 300zx z32 maf/mas and I did ask him if it was for a 300zx and he replied with a no - its for a Subaru as he is running more than standard power. I just doubt it will work as its designed for a Nissan by JECS.....Oh well its his choice.
-
MAF and subaru compatibility
Just sold my MAF on ebay to a Subaru owner.....didnt know they were compatible.....He want to run more power! Anyone know if the subaru will understand the 300zx mas. Only so if he complains then at least I can answer him!!! Ta.

detonation help
Code 34 means the det sensor has a problem and will put yo into safety boost, but does not cause detonation. code 34 does not appear when detonation is 'seen' by the sensor, only a failure show this code. you need to look somewhere else - such as boost leaks causing you to run lean.

Aircon Service
Be very careful going to Kwik Fit with an Import which still has R12 in it - it MUST be completely de-gassed first, then a special treatment to make any remaining stuff inert plus a bit of oil - then a re-gas... Topping R12 up with R134a is not recommended.

Broadband connection
When you say 'Downloading' if you are using P2P software like BitTorrent - you need to limit the upload speed - otherwise you swamp your connection and requests for web pages etc dont get through properly - This is the same for the Download speed - limit it to a set speed. This way theres spare bandwidth for games on the line. For upload - set it to 10k. Download - you will need to see what your max download speed is and decide how much to leave for everyone else!!!
-
Aircon Service
The import uses R12 - now illegal to refill with - there is a direct drop in replacement gas, but its better to have the new valves fitted - the it can be run with the modern stuff and works just as well - I had mine converted by Phil as C&S Wood

oil filter non-return valves
I agree with b19rks on this one - someone needs to cut open an OEM one and post the results to see for definate though.

Overfuelling.....OH NO!!!!!!
Dont buy conzult off ebay - yu will still have to buy again the license code to make it work - Just go straight to DTA to buy it.

Water Leak - back of engine bay
These are your heater matrix pipes - I think its about £17-£20 for both from Nissan. They arnt big pipes so if you look down the back a few inches down you will see them attaching to the bulk head. Best to just replace them really - If you get stuck you can just cut the pipes out to make it easier to get them out. Them buy jubilee clips for the new pipes and install the clips - Attach the lower part of the pipes back first, then the upper connections - Its much easier that way as you can bend and move the pipes for access to the lower clips - Make sure you have a few extensions for tricky access but its not too bad - Good positioning of the Jubilee clips will make life easier!

opinions on these tyres please
I've had and still got Kumho Ecsta 712 on mine and have to say they are great tyres, and I drive my car enthusiastically! they look nice as well and for 360 a tyre - well priced too. Wear is good.

Origins of the site
Ahh that first Nottingham meet! We all went down the M6 in convoy!! That was a great laugh - If I remember right - Bob scared the life out a load of kids by remote starting his car from the pub!

Camber Kit Repair = Wobbly wheels :/
Yeah, you need to get a 4 wheel alignment done to check the new settings and correct the pull to the left - the wobble likely is balancing - I'd recommend trying to get them done while on the car. Where did you get your kit from as I'm after one as well!

One Plenum Bypass
I think a write up for this is in order!

Serious Starting Problem Need Major Help
This does sound like a bad battery - Charge it up as said above and try again - if it then starts you need to get a new battery as this ones had it. The clicking noise is a solenoid - your battery doesnt have enough power to crank the engine so it doesnt even try.......
