  1. What time are those staying at the Premier Inn leaving in the morning?? I was thinking it would be easier for me driving on my own to convoy in to Coventry behind others .
  2. LOl!!! Well it lives outside all year and hasnt been cleaned since Japfest Silverstone so i thought I better make some effort since it will be on public display in the square:biggrin:
  3. Well the wax polish seems to be working......
  4. So today ........I have mainly been fitting my replacement bonnet including drilling holes in it for the bonnet pins:scared: I have also fitted some tinted side repeaters that I got recently from Ian Greenfield. Final job was to clean front wheels as they were full of track day brake dust crap. Virtually ready for Coventry I think.
  5. My carbon fibre bonnet needs a lot of TLC . As a quick fix I have sprayed a spare ally one . Just got to fit it before bringing the car to Coventry on Sunday. Its far from perfect but its all one colour. The reat of the car is far from perfect too so it all matches.:whistling:
  6. They will be fine...:thumbup1:. I dont drive my 300 in the dark but you need headlights for an MOT:biggrin: It just saves having a "discussion" with my tester about HIDs etc etc.
  7. Cheers Andy. I dont want/need HID kit for this application so these will be fine..... http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/H3C-ABD-Extreme-White-Xenon-Pair.html
  8. Is it a H3C bulb fitting for JDM import dipped beam??? Anyone got a link to some 55w super white ones??
  9. Agreed, I ran the same sizes as you on exactly the same Asev wheels on my original red slicktop.
  10. Is the width a secret then?????:tt2:
  11. There is a good reason why they were rare...............................................
  12. I am planning to come to Coventry on the Sunday.
  13. A pair of mirrors removed from a UK spec car some time ago. I have just tested them on a J spec car today. They both move in and out and up and down. There are five wires in the plug. i simply dont remember if they were heated?? Finished in original Nissan blue with grey bases as standard. Some laquer peel on top of one.Easy fix. No use to me. Priced to clear. £27.50 including delivery UK mainland. Paypal only payment.
  14. Eh??? WTF are you on about??? Its not mustard gas in the paint????
  15. Do not paint outside in the evening. As soon as the sun sets the air temperature drops. The drop in air temperature means that the air cant hold the same amount of moisture so the moisture then condenses out on any surface it can find. Metal is perfect. You wont see it happening but it happens.Look outside early in the morning and you will see "dew" on the grass. Same thing just more extreme.. This is one of the causes of "micro blistering" which happens a few weeks/months after a paint job in the wrong conditions. Where did you get the idea that cellulose is moderately easy to work with?? Modern paints are much much easier to use. Cellulose "cheap". ??? Really???. it may be cheaper per litre to buy but you will need gallons more of it cos it has poor coverage. Whatever paint you use will give you issues with fumes....its the thinners not the paint that are the culprit. Cellulose worse than synthetic cos you need to use more thinners. All your primer needs to be done in one session ideally.. All the basecoat and laquer needs to be done in one day ideally. All of course IMHO I'll get my coat................
  16. Stainless steel radiator bracket in good condition to fit "Koyo" style and similar alloy rads. £20 collected. UK post £5 Paypal payment.
  17. All Alloy big capacity rad for a TT. In good used condition. Made in the far east ."koyo racing" style. I have a proper box and packing for it. Collecton preferred or you can arrange a courier pick up and email me the labels etc. Cash n collect or Paypal and ship.
  18. Set of four dash vents. These have got a proper carbon fibre overlay bonded to them, not thin hydrodip tat. They look very nice IMO. One broken clip on one side vent. See detail pic. Otherwise in very good condition. £20 including UK delivery. Immed paypal payment required.
  19. Nothing extreme about using spacers. Provided they are good quality .
  20. Glass clearance. I have a pair of blue tint 2+2 glass and a pair of bronze glass 2+2. So 4 pieces of glass. No good to me Need to find a new home this weekend. If no takers then skip fodder next week. All in decent used condition. I dont see any huge deep scratches or chips There are bound to be some minor scratches etc as they are 25 years old. Blue pair has some plastic bits missing off the bottom. Bronze pair are complete. No further pics or description available. COLLECT in person only.£20 the lot. If anyone does come they need to take all four pieces. You cant leave any. Location nr J26 M1 Notts.
  21. Is this a road car?? If so then -1.35 is at the top end of the Specified range That is plenty on a road going car and still works well on track. Im running very close to that figure on my track focused road car. Any more negative camber and you will simply wear tyres unevenly and lose contact patch area leading to premature loss of traction. All IMHO of course!
  22. i would think the settings will be OK for the "family estate"!! I think my settings are just on the outer edge of stock?? I could really do with a touch more negative camber on the LH side as that one gets chunked on track. Multi link suspension doesnt need much negative camber, especially on road cars.
  23. IMO you just need someone with a Hunter Hawkeye set up who is properly trained to use it. My settings are..... Front 1.39 camber -ve. 9 deg of castor. 0.02 toe Rear. 1.3 -ve camber o.15 toe
