Its common to miss the fuel pipe dpwn to the injector rail in the middle of the plenum!

Plenty of us are Ok with repairing cars. :) in this case it will need more than bashing out tho. The very minimum it will need is pulling on a body dozer. If there is any suggestion of chassis rail being kinked near or beyond the anti roll bar/crossmember area then it will need going on a full measuring jig. its all down to time. your own skills and cost of having it straightened. Then there is the cost of replacement parts. Time to fit and get it all painted. I reckon you are looking at over £1K to repair. you need to balance this against the value of the car. Nobody can decide for you you have to make that call yourself. BTW... Here is one I made earlier!!!

Just make sure you do the whole car,dont leave the engine bay grey:smash:

If you break it you will be shocked how cheap many spares sell for now and how much of most cars has now become almost unsaleable. And as I said on many occasions before... breaking them is hard work. requires loadsa room to store the bits till they are sold and even more patience dealing with the idiots who want to buy stuff, want it shipping half way round the world but only want to pay £2.94 for the whole thing delivered;)

I havent got an autobox for sale but if you need some cheap reliable instant transport then my eldest daughter and me are selling a spare Metro GTI. Sad news. but everyone has to do what they need to do to survive. I dont want to sound negative about pricing again but consider this....Crotchrocket has had his up for sale for 6 months and still hasnt sold at £5K. Paul Thompson let his silver TT man go at £1500 and I think Quavey only got a little more than that for his. Good luck in what ever you decide and stay in touch.

So....... if the clutch problem and engine hesitation is so bad why did you buy the car in the first place????:confused: im assuming you drove it before you bought it???:confused: as an experinced NA manwell driver I can tell you that the stock NA clutch is so light its actually girlie:) So there is obviously a problem with yours.

Never owned one... so never tried;) The Det sensor MAY work.... or it may fail to work. The trouble is if it fails to work .... its too late to swap it;) Let us know if it fails:D:D:D

Its not often I agree with the Essex ganster but on this occasion I do. Another fact the people need to catch up with is the price of s/h spares! This too has dropped dramatically. There is an oversupply of spares now so prices are loads lower than 2 years ago. In contrast post/courier rates have continued to increase. So Its not always true that you will get more money breaking than selling as a whole.

Orange peel is not caused by poor prep. Its caused by poor paint application when the job was done. it doesnt "appear" later. It WILL be easier to advise you if you post up some pics..

the plug on the pass seat was certainly different to the Jap spec S2 seats I had earlier this year. The seats Ron had were from a 93 L reg UK motor. I didnt know anything about any seats being heated:confused: Its not a normal facility on a Cobra Monaco fixed bucket.:rofl: Lets hope they all work mate. And thanks for getting them outta my way:)

The O2 sensors are not in the cat/decat pipes. That is the heat sensors.

Exactly! A new strip is only £50. forget what Si says about the brake light one. You will waste hours of your time and at least a tenner in materials and you will probably break it as you are rubbing it.:x:

The easiest mod to aid cooling is free.:) Remove that stupid air con rad from in front of the main water rad.
